She died at the end of June! SUMMER! The funeral home forgot that summer= bodies decompose faster. Get a good morgue like freezer.

The funeral home didn't want to get burned which is why they delayed embalming before they got paid. They screwed up, the mother said she saw a maggot come out of her eye during the funeral

I looked it up. A body should be enbalmed within 24 hours ,preferably. A body should be kept between 36 to 39 degrees. There is no way an air conditioned room could be kept that cool.

My great gran couldn't part with her daughter and kept her in the living room for 3 weeks with 11 kids in the house because she had her daughters too. I'm glad I wasn t born then!

Yes a/C can if the right conditions. They should have started on it as soon as they got it back. They should have done what is called a heavy embalming. I won and operate a Mortuary Transport Company. Not only that we know that is part of the black community that they hold the deceased. Two weeks is not that long.

No matter what happened! How could they possibly think this body was proper for services? How could you set something like that out for display? Like c’mon now! They know they did not keep her in a cool climate that’s the only way she could decomp like that! Before they display the body some one in charge of the family has to go view the body see if they approve of what there dress in and hair makeup jewelry so did they not view their love one before they had the service to have a open casket

A air conditioned room vs a refridgerater for the deceased are two totally different cooling to preserve the deceased...they were waiting to be paid when they were getting paid by the family and they left the woman in a closed casket in a air conditioned room which is not a refrigerator for the deceased.. I had family wayyy back in my day that lived in the back of theirs

When did the family give permission to embalm? When did the funeral director pick up her remains? Was the embalmer experienced, or was he/she just a fluid pusher? The ME keeps remains in refrigeration. Did the remains develop tissue gas? Tissue gas can over run the embalming process. No matter how many factors are in play, that family won that lawsuit before it was even filed!

My BFF was serviced at this Funeral Home and her family had no problem with how they took care of Theresa. Usually the Funeral Director has a family member come in to see th3 work they did and if they want the casket open or closed. In this case it should have been closed.

Because she was in a state of bad decomposition and I think regular news stations cannot show things like that, it would definitely traumatize some viewers. You can see the bloating and discoloration despite the pictures of her being blurred. I certainly hope this family got the justice they deserve she was a beautiful lady and she deserved to look beautiful at her viewing
