Try chopping fruit into smaller chunks or even pureed before freezing so it's easier on blender.

I can not say enough good things about the Ninja products. Some friends of ours bought us the whole set for Christmas one year. Those things save me so much time! The best whipped potatoes I’ve ever made is using the food processor. They come out creamy but NOT runny!! They are to die for if you like mashed potatoes. My secret is to boil my potatoes in chicken broth, then drain them when done, transfer potatoes into food processor, use organic milk, kerrygold butter, salt, and I grind fresh pepper. It takes one minute or less. And they are finished. Oh my!

If you have the good fortune to be able to purchase one of the Vitamix or Blendtacs (sp?) blenders "OR" really any super powerful blender...it will make these delicious treats fairly easy! ;-D I tried Nutribullet, but the strawberries slightly "cracked" the mixing cup! Perhaps, if the strawberries were "thawed" slightly (not too much or you'll end up with a smoothie consistency)...just enough that they would NOT act like ROCKS in the Nutribullet. ;-D Maybe if you ADD only a "few" (FROZEN STRAWBERRIES) in the Nutribullet, along with some "soft" fruit (banana)...perhaps, it will work a bit better than ALL frozen HARD strawberries. Plus, the banana-strawberry combo is quite delicious, as well! :-D

Totally disagree about the food processor vs. that blender. That blender made to crush ice easily. Food processor not for that. Plus it has an automatic pulsing feature which gives it time to blend. Best blender I ever bought and also makes a great frosty margarita in addition to this recipe.

Fresh (ripped) Bananas and "frozen" strawberries make delicious Ice Cream in the food processor or Vitamix/Blendtec Blenders! SUPER EASY & SUPER FAST! Be sure your food processor can handle FROZEN fruit because the HARD FROZEN STRAWBERRIES are like ROCKS! Unfortunately, it can damage your food processor (container). A metal Food Processor container with high wattage is best for this task. ;-D

I avoid Splenda whenever possible. Splenda was originally discovered as a pesticide. They found out that it tasted sweet and developed it into an artificial sweetener. Also, when heated or cooked, Splenda produces cancer causing chemicals. I would use stevia instead. I switched to that and haven’t looked back. Or even Swerve is good.

I tried making a pineapple dole whip and the acid in the pineapple turns the milk product bitter once it's in there. Usually it's no more than 5 minutes and it gets bitter. Maybe I'm using too much pineapple. But in my smoothie it's never a lot. Is that pineapple cooked? I have the same issue When I add fresh pineapple to a smoothie. It turns bitter.

Do you like spicy food? Because you should definitely make an extremely spicy chili with some chopped up buffalo wings and some sliced jalapeños! Make sure that you have a glass of milk ready when you do the taste test, okay?
