Owned 1966,1975,1985,1993,2003 VW camper vans, plus Mercedes-Benz 208D, Mercedes-Benz 100D... I know your driving us crazy with your trip. you need to set your distance and charge schedule every 2 to 3 hours. I think if you ask us we would plot a charging route for you. If not we will be broken hearted not to see you make it in time...

You could get Raya a really pretty traditional hand made Native American baby wrap/sling from New Mexico/Arizona!! Or a pretty printed wrap dress or kimono type for postpartum! Santa Fe, NM has some amazing shops for hand made pottery, you could get something for your new house- or a cool baby toy. We got some beautiful hand made pottery bird shaped wind chimes one time.

it's not as difficult in a bought EV especially Tesla as the car plans the route for you and knows how much range you have left until the next charger. Also, most new EV's have an over 250-mile range and have DC rapid charging so would be full in about 1 hour, this VW doesn't have that.

I'm not convinced he's made the VW less reliable than it was originally.... You always needed a toolkit - and a helping of luck - to make any long trip in one of those buses.

300 miles / 500km in two days. If I’m right at least 3-4 charges. That’s ridiculous and totally impractical for a family trying to get anywhere.

I am a full time RVer. You will find a lot of help if you hop across the country using camp sites. However, your batteries will discharge faster in cold.
