Same thing with me! I looked like a depressed little girl before with my long ass emo hair, and nobody respected me. I was so scared of change and I didn't want to risk looking even uglier than before. I grew some balls and got a combover fade and I have absolutely no regrets! I've grown more confidence within myself and people actually started to respect me; a haircut can do wonders!

I live in San Francisco and I'm black. When I first moved here years ago there were no decent barbers that weren't miles away so I started to cut my own hair which is close crop, so no big deal. Asian men in general have such beautiful thick hair that if you are on the fence you really should experiment with a new style and unlike so many of the white guy hipsters I see around town, you won't have to use so much product to make it behave. I don't think changing your appearance because of what girls will think of how you are perceived is so important, it is the way it makes you feel. Happier and more confident. if that happens the other stuff will come.

The best part of having your hair cut with it leaning to one side like that, is that if you want to wear your hair down/shaggy, you can wear it on the opposite side and the short part will sit on top of the longer part giving it some layers, some more depth.

If you like Andrew's hair then I recommend getting an disconnected undercut. Its like the comb-over but it has that line to separate long hairs from the short and your hair is a little longer to be able to style.
