Fungus cleaning: Nikon Nikkor 135mm f/2 DC

Hello Friends,
Today I show you how to remove fungus out of a legendary lens, the Nikon Nikkor 135mm f/2 DC. My friend Fred got this copy from a friend of his and apparently it hasn't been used in a while, something grew inside but we haven't been able to determine whether is fungus or a spider made the lens her home. Let's open the lens and check all that.

Do these instructions also apply to the 105 DC?

I've never opened the 105DC, but looking at them side by side, I'd say yes.

would you unscrew the big lens element or the small inner one nexr ? the big one seems to be connedted to the depth ring any info would be vey much appreciated thanks again loVe the content very helpfull @@diyextravaganza

@@paulleonardo8821 Hi, hard to tell without having the lens in my hands, where do you want to reach exactly? I know this guy tends to collect dust in the rear element, that one can be reached from behind but you cannot remove the whole thing easily, you can hold it aside while cleaning.
