Funicular & cable car from the center of Innsbruck to the mountains at the Nordkette /Nordkettenbahn

The Nordkettebahnen take you in 20 minutes from the city centre of innsbruck to the top of the mountains. It's a great ride with the Hungerburgbahn funicular, the Seegrubenbahn cable car & the Hafelekarbahn. This is a great thing to do when you're in Innsbruck, the capital of Tirol in Austria, both in winter & summer time.

Very enjoyable video. Thanks! I spent many weekends in Innsbruck when I was in the U.S. Army Security Agency, stationed in Augsburg. I was fluent in German, but really struggled with the local dialect. Innsbruck is a great city to visit. The alpine meadows on the south mountain are fabulous in the summer. Tons of flowers.

Yeah the dialect is different than in Vienna and Other parts

I've been there twice in the 70th and 80th during summertime. You should know it's always snow on the top. At that time it was the old stuff that rules. Lovely views down to Innsbruck, Next time you visiting Innsbruck you should take that STB tram from Hauptbahnhof. wunderful trip. At the other side of that town take tram linie 6 from Hbf to the end then change to the funicular there, something for you to see and ride up to the top there.
