Ruth Copeland says Eddie Hazel was the best ever! The practices were legendary. Too bad we don't what they recorded. I met Ruth in Palm Springs and couldn't get enough of the stories. Oh, look up Ruth Copeland, first white funk song produced (ALLEGEDY)! Great channel.

I've heard Mike Hampton say in an interview that he used a guitar (possibly an Alembic) that had double strings like a 12 string only on the highest 2 or 3 strings. He tuned the double strings slightly out of tune to hit that out of phase sound. - I don't claim to be correct and the other explanations could be true.
