EDM stands for electronic dance music. This encompasses many genres including : ,trance , trap, house, garage, drum and bass, dubstep, bassline, etc etc... All this new music that's been coming out is just HOUSE music.. Go do some research.. All house music has one thing in common: part of the bass is at a frequency that humans can't hear (hence the need for sub woofers).. Also drum and bass and all the older UK garage etc are technically classified as a sub genre of.. HOUSE music (which originated in CHICAGO)..
