this will change everything! Awesome looking feature. New possibilities for lip sync too.

The best smart warp tutorial!

Great example. However clearly frustrating about the auto-welding going on when you triangulate :( Neat addition to the toolset :)

Yeah can be, you just have to be careful. In hindsight, it was pretty obvious if you pay attention to the broken stroke line after triangulation but I was trying not to get distracted and missed it :)

Brilliant........did I say this was brilliant? Yeah, it's brilliant! **Mortal Kombat voice** DS wins....flawless victory!

For some reason I can't use the original layer to move the mesh. Followed all the steps you did. The reference layer with triangulated mesh works tho.

SOLUTION: I had "Enable drawing tools only on frame 0" UNCHECKED. Once I checked it, everything worked. Any input on that?

Like this feature reminds me of Elastic reality.

Mistakes are good for a novice to watch one more knowledgeable correct and then move on. One wouldn't've known what the Synch function is even all about, otherwise, till you utilized the function. Onward …!

Hi Danny, I was wondering if you can help me, I am encountering some problems with smart warp. I added points, triangulated 2D mesh, it worked great, then I added more points to the same vector layer but in a different place (so it wasn’t connected to the original 2D mesh) and tried to triangulate 2D mesh again for the new selection. It didn’t work, the points I added just disappeared. Why does my drawing (on image layer) disappear when I go past frame 0, all I can see is the 2D mesh/smart warp. What does ‘warp using bones’ function mean - it’s in the vector layer settings in image tab. Thank you :)

Hi Kasia, warp using bones is a pre smart warp feature for letting bones warp an image - it's not related. It seems if the layer already has triangulated areas when you try to re-triangulate it just deletes anything unconnected. Are you using my reference layer trick? If so, you have to re-sync the reference layer (which will remove all triangulation and make it look identical to the original copy) before re-triangulating it. If you're triangulating the original layer (you only have one control layer, not a reference you use for the triangulated version) - then watch the video again (around 2:00 minutes) :)

@@funksmaname thanks so much, I've wtached it again step by step and it's working, but how do I re-sync the reference layer? I'm still new to moho and have so many questions! :)

Hi Danny. I'm trying to follow along with this, but around 1:10 you move to frame 12 and the entire image is still visible. When I do everything you've done - even with the same image - and I try to move to an animation frame, the head gets masked and the background disappears. Is there a way to use the smart warp tools and not mask anything?
@funksmaname6 жыл бұрын
I Racer Hi. I think if you don't want to mask anything just make sure everything is inside the mesh, even if it means extra triangles around the outside of the bit you're warping... notice I have a square around the outside of the entire image...
