Funky Backing Track (Circle of Fifths)

Which chords do you practice over this? I'm still a funk noob just doing basic dominant shape on the higher strings, like this: E | x A | x D | 7 G | 8 B | 7 E | 7 And then just doing a chromatic slide into them, getting in the pocket with that an simple 16th note hits and chucks on syncopated beats (not hitting strings on every single 16th)

You can plug in any lick or progression and practice it in all keys. I recommend looking into triad inversions on the high strings! check out @TomoFujitaMusic here on youtube.
