I understand what you are saying but please know that Ben Carson is a world renowned and trailblazing neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins. He and a hand full of Nobel prize winning researchers are the reason I went to work at Hopkins years ago. They made a movie about him in which my friends son played his young brother. His book Gifted Hands is a wonderful read and Kimberly Elise played his mother in the movie. I don't think he's Presidential material but he is a gift to medicine!!

Like his comments undercut his reputation in medicine because we expect a doctor like him who has studied sciences to perpetuate information that comes from empirical data. Him making that foolish claim that homosexuality is a mentality because some men get their sexuality changed because of their time in jail makes no sense.
