I bought the hard copy when it was released and having never played a souls genre game it is hard as fuck. Just started chapter 3. It is such a beautiful looking game and the combat / boss fights are just magic. It might piss me off no end but my god it's probably one of the best and most intense solo games I've played. Absolutely loving it even when I'm raging, my GOTY for sure.

Yep, I dove right into Wukong without playing any souls type games. Just keep at it. It's gonna worth it in the end. It made me a better gamer. I've become pretty decent in Elden Ring now. lol.

China is doing a great service to the world - affordable AND SUPERIOR EVs and Solar panel for the world. Now game developers are doing the same thing - a great service to the gaming world by making .. 1) Great AAA games 2) Cheaper pricing (in the near future this is what I predicted) 3) Massive FREE DLC expansion. China is always innovating and this will allow them to make games better and cheaper - in the near future (if there is no WW3 ... I hope)

I think their greater plan is setting up a Black Myth connected game universe. I expect Erlang will have a game to his name eventually or he'll be part of a larger game detailing his origin story.

That will be super interesting since Erlang has very complex mythological background based on many different origins of different Chinese ethnics folklores and indigenous religions, and his original forms were more demon like rather than the young man as the latest mythological figure.

I just completed all the gauntlet challenges, boy oh boy the amount of fun I had, especially with the secret boss, some of the fights were super cinematic 🔥🔥🔥 Can't wait for the DLC to drop 🐒🙇🏻‍♂️🙌🏻!!!

This game is amazing and the updates are great. But I gotta say , we desperately need more basic combos we can do, seeing the same basic combo gets very old, especially when the enemy is so varied and dynamic. Also the wukong stance ! We WANT to be like the end boss in terms of what we can do. At some point I want to really feel like Wukong and have that power fantasy. But even if they don’t do that, we definitely need at least more varied and dynamic combos.

I’m guessing you’ve not started NG+? After you complete NG+3 with all completions being done with the true ending, you unlock Wukong stance.

You can use Wukong stance if you have the full armor for 1 min after using a four charged attack, 2 minutes if you use its curio from the latest update

I think a cool thing would be the destined one actually becoming wukong merging with his broken shell and bringing the great sage back to life or something eventually giving you option to play as the great sage himself or continue your journey as the destined one and make your own path 😅 i know it may sound a bit outlandish but I think it would be cool to be a lore accurate wukong in a play through

I hope there will be a sort off difficulty mode selection I mean I like the wukong stance but my character is not getting any stronger and every ng+ after the enemy’s just keep getting stronger so much that against bosses I do almost no damage and they can 2shot me I would like to change the difficulty back to like ng+2 or 3

Rock Man transformation, plantain fan and a gourd that rebuilds qi are extremely useful for this fight. Scorpion spirit also good because of low cost and quick execution. Good luck

All the people in here “actual GOTY” I dunno man. I beat Wukong, I liked it. I’m excited for more. I got the true ending… But GOTY? Not sure… game was a solid 7 or 8/10 for me. It definitly had problems. On PS5 it was a janky ugly mess, really rough performance imo… combo variety, pretty basic combat not a lot to it. Exploration and level design was lacking. But it did have great bosses and cinematic battles for sure! I thought stellar blade was the better action game this year overall. Had better combat. I am still excited to see where Wukong goes tho ultimately!

They’ll never fix that. They can’t fix that. That’s the entire premise of the level desig. It would be like creating new levels… however it’s not that big a deal, it’s a little annoying but too bad. The levels are pretty linear with branching paths
