Most of the domestic violence cases were acquittals though. That's not pleading down to a lower charge. That's a jury finding you not guilty. Meaning that according to a jury they did not commit the crimes they are being accused of.

That's the thing though, most of the domestic violence cases we see here were supposedly acquitted. Meaning they were found not guilty. So the assumption is that they aren't actually abusers. I mean you can't be completely sure. But the reasonable assumption is that they aren't. Because court is like casinos. Once something goes to trial, the prosecution is most likely going to win.
