Michael caplinger Problem is, these car's engines have to be rebuilt after every run because everything gets welded together.

Yeah the thing with that though is that you can drive your Bugatti home. Literally after every race, they have to rebuild the entire motor. Replace all the gaskets, make sure it runs good. That takes time and money. But it’s also cheaper to go that fast once. Where as for millions of dollars you can go half that speed, multiple times. With special tires. And a special key 😒 too many electronics in cars these days..

They get the term "funny car" because although they carry the name of a manufacturer i.e. Toyota Camry, Ford Mustang, etc., they look nothing like factory models. So they are funny as in odd shaped rather than funny as in comical.

Toyota wasn't even around when the Funny cars came out in the 60's You are showing your young age stick to your 4G crap and leave Drag racing to the Old Schoolers. And a Honda with a turbo is what these cars used for fuel !
