Well, the jumping cat wanted to play, but for some reason was quite rough. The orange cat verbalized that he was being hurt, but the other kept doing it. Only after the orange cat gave a verbal.signal (basically cat language for "stop it, you're hurting me, go softer") and there was no reaction from the other cat, the orange cat then proceeded to teach the other cat a lesson. The other cat was still playing, but the orange cat was more like "If you don't want to hear, I will have to make you feel how I felt". The other cat quickly realized it was no longer a play fight after getting hurt himself, so he was trying to defend himself now. If the owner had not stepped in they'd probably continue for a little bit until they apologized to each other. These cats don't hate each other, but they don't realize yet how to play without hurting each other (the orange cat I think knows it, but the other doesn't)
