You can't just have a bird, you need a proper cage setup for them, and you have to make sure you are willing to spend pretty much the whole day with them. Also, the bird needs to be trained to do certain things you see them do, and spend a lot of money per month on them. As a bird owner myself, my bird has went through 2 years of training, and still has trouble with most tricks. (These are just facts in case you are just planning to get a bird soon and might leave them alone for too long)
