My wife was Thai/Chinese and once took me to see a ghost/horror film. I'd seen excerpts and thought they were cheesy and corny. Well, yes, it was but, it still managed to scare me witless. They have a different approach to the subject and it's an edge we Westerners don't anticipate. BTW: It scared my wife as well. Still don't know why she asked me to go watch it.
