Height and sound, since regular vacums are taller and louder they are perceived as bigger than them. The Roombas are short and quite. You're also not the one moving it so it strikes there cuiriousity.

@@jasonguyyeah yup...and they are warm, they vibrate softly, and move in a steady slow somewhat predictable fashion. And not all cats like them...plenty are frightened. Its just the good sports with a high threshold for adventure that make it to You Tube.
