Just things I've wondered about: How many years will you be able to breed Elvira and Zeke? What is their natural life span? Will you be able to harvest them for meat when their time is done? I've heard that "boar taint" is a problem, so maybe Zeke couldn't end up as a meat animal? Would it be possible to add a second sow so that you could breed more piglets?

Wish i lived closer. I prefer lard to any other shortening and it is hard to find. I always save my bacon grease and just use it for frying potatoes and things like that. It is not as good, as it is store bought bacon but that is the only kind i can find. Enjoy your videos so much.

should buy a gilt or sow from Hollar and give you one more breeder for meat purposes. lot of kune/AGH crosses out there. and if you are butchering the offspring does it matter. Lot of the feeder pigs are crosses
