Yes, I think this family did it before by putting kittens in his bed and laughing at him. He is getting to know they tease him mercilessly about his bed. I don't think it's really wise. He is a patient, self-controlled dog, and it seems to me they are seeing how far they can push him. I hope I'm wrong.

For me it’s the length of the pranks that concerns me, at some point you could tell the poor dog is stressed, given that dogs are territorial animals. They can tease for a few seconds perhaps, but more than that the animal begins to literally think he’s losing his spot. I might be wrong.🤷🏻‍♂️

Bailey used 5 different technics to try to get his mom off his bed, I'm impressed with his intelligence, they're so smart. He tried to bully and showed dominance first. Second, he tried vocalizing telling her to get off. Third, trying to pry the bed off her. Fourth, Smother mom. Fifth, win mom over with his cuteness and cuddling. I was surprised he didn't looked at dad for some help. I laughed through the whole video.

I'm not sure he was trying to pry the bed off her; it's equally possible that he hoped he could stretch it to fit them both. After all a bed made of a pile of blankets would have been extendable in that way. Equally in not sure you're wrong: it seems to be that both interpretations got what we saw

I did the same thing with my Husky, he wasn’t fazed at all.😆 I got his bed setup at the foot of my bed. While he was downstairs, I called him up to my room or should I say our room.🤣He walked in and stared at me for a few seconds. He sniffed me and said, oh well dad’s in my bed, so I’m jumping in his…and that’s what he proceeded to do.😆

Yes, that's my husky on the profile pic, sleeping while bathing & soaked in water & soap. & I went out to ran errands for a short time. I came back & looked like he opened the gate again & escaped, there's a huge padlock hanging on it. I came back he's tied on his leash at the gate, my neighbor seemed chase him to tie him. The gate was open wide. Huskies really are on another level of escape artists & spoiled brats. 😭.

I try not to treat the least of my animals in the way you suspect is being done here. You really might want to pay attention to some of the ways people especially children try to play. You will see that they can be using something that would otherwise be considered negative. It's more about the intent. Dogs probable understand more than most people realize. They were playing and both knew it.
