That’s just weird behaviour that I guarantee you most guys don’t engage in. I’ve known guys who shared pics of their friends/classmates in bikinis, but the girls always knew that the photos were being taken. In many cases they were posted to social media and were available for people to see. They weren’t being spied on. Second, there’s a difference between taking pictures at a public place and taking pictures during private swim practice. Most importantly, the selling of the photos is kinda important. Selling photos of underaged girls like that is a crime. And people actually do that in real life. Probably not making calendars and selling them as a school product, but there are sick bastards that well pictures of underaged girls without their consent. That’s a real-life crime that Zack committed, which might come with jail time. At the very least a restraining order. Yeah, she chose to take the caffeine pills. Zack pushed her into singing, recorded her in the girl’s locker room without their knowledge, guilted her into participating, and ignored his Slader when he warned him abut the problem. And she constantly told Zack it was too much for her. He just told Jessie that she was letting the rest of them down. That’s emotional manipulation and ignoring of a friend’s drug problem. And he had LOTS of very easily visible signs of it.

I haven't seen Porky's or Riverdale, so I don't know if they're trash. But it sounds like those characters are trash people. That doesn't mean the show/movie itself is trash, though. Schindler's list has literal Nazis in it. They're EXTREME trash, but the movie is great. A character can be a bad person but the thing they're in can still be good. This series always completely glosses over the fact that in almost every episode, Zack learns a lesson and usually does the right thing in the end. Holy shit. The reason I love this series is because it does a really good job at highlighting how a fairly large amount of humor and plotlines from kids shows in the 90s really haven't aged well and from time to time actually do cross some pretty significant lines. Yet all my childhood memories of seeing them when they aired are nothing but wholesome innocent fun... EXCEPT THIS ONE. I grew up in a town called Ledyard in Connecticut. If you do any basic surface level googling on it you are almost guaranteed to be presented with the fact that it is basically sandwiched in between the two biggest native American Tribal reservations on the east coast of America. The Mohegan tribe And the Mashantucket Pequot tribe. If you have ever wondered why the 2 biggest casinos in North America are both in CT within 15 minutes driving distance of each other that is why. Both tribes are amazing wonderful beautiful communities with an authenticity to their respective cultures that is rarely seen in modern tribal communities. We are VERY proud of both of them. It is a pride felt by the whole town regardless of individual race religion or cultural background. We are just genuinely honored to live in a town with not just one but 2 massively important tribes and their respective cultures. Growing up I never knew a world where it was acceptable to use the term Indian instead of Native or tribal. We went to the Pequot Museum and annual Powwows. We are proud of their astronomical success as a historically oppressed people. Every sports, arts or musical program in every school is at least partially funded by them. So yeah... I always knew this episode ad unacceptable, insensitive Racist trash. Trash for sure.b

The second presentation I think is less the Zack character's fault and more to do with the culture of the times judging by how the scene seemed to be intending to show that Zack had learned his lesson, but some of us millennials I guess might look at that and be like, "He learned nothing. Still disrespecting his ancestors...if they're legitimately even Native American at all." lol. Also I'm a bit bothered that the writers decided to make him part Native American instead of part Indonesian/Asian which is what the actor was genuinely mixed with. I think heritage projects in school are bullshit though. It made kids less tolerant of each other (and even some mixed kids got told they were lying) at my school. Also, I've never really seen Saved By the Bell before since it was just a few years before my time.
