I have a 110 lbs Catahoula/German Shepherd mix who gets very upset when he doesn't get to protect me from the garbage truck and busses that pass by. He also needs to become a dog-shield whilst I'm watching a football game and he hears the cacophony of cheering in the background behind the commentators. He is 4, and a very good boy.

That Saluki at 1.25 is very typical of hounds. They are known as velcro dogs. They will never move from your side. Then if they see some prey animal running they will run after it like the wind and can't hear you at all.

My piece of advice.. never gets a dog that would grow so big and still acts like a baby.. their weight will kill you once they grow big.. just get a smaller dog like a chihuahua which are so light to carry around, because they never grow big.. they are the dwarf dog.. 🤔😄
