Hotel Terme Millepini is a four-star hotel in Montegrotto Terme, Padua, Italy. It contains 100 rooms and is recognized for having the world's deepest pool, the Y-40, which put it in the Guinness World Records.[1] The hotel was first built in 1977 and renovated in 2013.
PADUA, Italy, October 4. The Y-40 Deep Joy pool is the deepest in existence, ranging 137-feet deep and 59-feet wide and is located at the Hotel Terme Millepini.

There are multiple designs and materials you can use to make a mermaid tail. Mermaid tails are mainly designed for kids (like FinFun.com) but there are a few websites that sell professional tails that may be partially or fully made out of silicone. (Like FinFolk.com). You are right to tell kids not to swim in silicone tails, because they can weigh up to 45lbs. But kids can still swim in mermaid tails in their pools, in local springs, etc. in other tails. Although she most likely has had training or practice for her breath hold and conditioning for the weight of the tail, there are alternates for kids. Be careful what you say, that comment might discourage kids from trying out the wonderful hobby of being a mermaid😊 have a mer-tastic day!

Professional freedivers/apnea divers (what mermaid swimmers basically are) with years of training often can easily hold their breath for something between 3 and 5 minutes. Iirc the record is somewhere between 8 and 9 minutes (that might not be up to date tho)

I am also a professional mermaid performer, and while her breath hold is very impressive, people don't seem to realize this is multiple clips stitched together. ;) Clips change at 16 seconds, 26 seconds, 37 seconds, 49 seconds, etc. So no, it's no a person holding their breath for 2 minutes (though, it can be done yes!) That aside, the mermaid is very impressive. Her form is beautiful, the footage is nice and clear, and the pool sure looks like a treat to swim in!

Silicone tails are extremely expensive. They range from 1000-5000 if you want good quality. I know this is your opinion but she might have not had the money for a different coloured silicone tail of the pool place gave her that tail to use.

Gorgeous! This gotta be one of the best mermaid shows. I need to see this LIVE!! Lol. I've been to two mermaid show and I can't help but be amazed. I want to see one again, hopefully this one here. Really Enchanting. The tails are perfect and her shape is fantastic. BTW these are short clips of the show stitched together. Although it is possible to hold one's breath for two minutes, in this case it's hard with all the movements, so yeah, it's definitely stitched together.

1. THE MERMAID IS NOT REAL. 2. People can say that it's hard to hold their breath for that long (which it is) and they want that job, but you also have to think of the water pressure too. Holding your breath underwater is WAAAY harder than holding your breath on land, and without proper training, you could pass out! Because of the pressure pressing onto your chest, AND as you go deeper the pressure builds up (keep in mind that this is the DEEPEST pool in the world) YOU MOST LIKELY NEED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Just keep that in mind :3 (I'm probably saving your life -_-)

But still it's beautiful and I love watching "mermaids" in the water because of how calm, graceful and amazing it is. Can you imagine how much training these people went through to be able to hold their breath that long under water and how many ear infections etc etc they must get?? WOW that's dedication!

Lots of breathing practices, if you were to do them for a very long time you could probably learn how to hold your breath for that long. Just takes practice.

Deepest pool was in Dubai. @ 169ft. Deep. Although this could of been the deepest when the video was made. Either way, swimming in one if the deepest pools is pretty amazing. The g-force alone when your swimming that deep is amazing. Really beautiful as well. 👍

She has to be brave and very well trained, my longest breath holding so far was 64 seconds and it wasn't even underwater where there's more pressure upon the chest urging you to resume your breath.
