The uzi has a foldable shoulder support, I‘m pretty sure because it’s an older uzi Modell the user needed some strength to flip it open, so he pressed his right thumb against the metal part, and opened it with its left (the user possibly hadn’t enough gripstrengh and momentum from the handle to open it, so he rested his thumb for more strength to open it) for example, if you want to open a telescope nightstick you use gravity, but to close it you only grasp the handle with two fingers like your doing the ok 👌 symbol. Then hit it on the floor (grabbing it bare fist 🤛 loses all the momentum and the strength will be transferred to your hand and arm and not the stick) but that’s just my theory…. A UZI FINGERPRINT THEORY
@rk912622 жыл бұрын
Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. You shift your grip on the gun depending on the folding mechanism and how hard it is to fold/unfold the stock. Seems like what happened there.
@iranortiz38832 жыл бұрын
I assume maybe that the guns rapid fire would cause the weapon to over heat and people would burn their thumb prints on it
@vipertr22812 жыл бұрын
@@iranortiz3883 I dont think it would be an overheating issue, considering a lot of the heat generated when firing a weapon usually stays at the front end of the firearm, seeing as all the energy and gas created by the bullet is traveling rapidly down the barrel. There may be some heat that travels backwards into the mechanisms, but surely not enough to burn fingerprints into the metal, unless youre nonstop firing for like 5 minutes straight.

This is also a pretty cool detail I've always loved: the song you can hear in the min 4:00 is the Königgrätzer Marsch, aka one of the victory themes for the nazis, and one feat of "glory" for them; the song is also used when you win a multiplayer match as Germany (it's also used during in the Indiana Jones films during the Marsch Book Burning scene). Funnily enough, this is the last mission of the game and it's played at the last moments of the Reich before its ultimate defeat, as an easter egg and a pretty neat final F.U. to the nazis

What's actually somewhat ironic is that COD (at least since 4) has ALWAYS had a lot of realistic details- in fact, arguably more so than any FPS ever made, if not most, at least. But because of the nature of the game design and engine (stemming from its ancestry with Doom and Quake), not to mention its inherent popularity (which meant people will look for any reason to slander a popular game), a lot of people never really knew it. I used to think that most rifles in MW1 being banged on the side after reloading was fucking ridiculous, until I learned what a bolt hold-open was. I had never seen any other game do that.

The fingerprint might be detail because that's the usual spot where people put their thumb on to open the Uzi stock, since putting it there makes it so you pull towards the way the hinger opens rather than away from it.
@FunWithGuru2 жыл бұрын
I was just looking at a bunch of videos on opening stocks and never saw anyone touch the back. It's probably the best theory though.
@elsienova42692 жыл бұрын
@@FunWithGuru tbf they kinda made the uzi wrong since they gave it a sidefolding stock on a weapon that has an underfold one usually. Most weapons with side folding stocks are egonomic enough to be able to just hold it by the grip as you fold it or by the handguard but since this is an uzi with a sidefolding one, the best place would be the back, kinda like the early Israel FAL pattern rifles wtih side folding stocks. And the Uzi is also Israeli so, maybe that's where they got the inspiration to add the touch.

Also where's your source stating that those machines have been there since WW2? Because clearly they weren't.
