Furball Reviews: Cheerson CX-10 Nano Quadcopter Review

The Cheerson CX-10 is (I think) the smallest quadcopter you can buy but flies surprisingly well.
It is suitable for beginners, especially if you buy the optional prop guard and comes with everything you need to get flying except 2 AAA batteries for the transmitter.
The transmitter is on the small side but is usable and the quadcopter is more study than those like the Hubsan Q4.
Flights can last up to about 5 minutes per charge.
I have bought all my quadcopter stuff from gearbest.com and banggood.com.

Hi.got mine yesterday and after a little knock or if it lands upside down the quad hoes full throttle even after I have turned the handset completely off it continues just breaking all the props until I can grab hold of the quad and turn it off .is this a common fault do you know as I don't want to buy a replacement for them all to be the same.thanks

I ordered this as my first drone and I am really excited to be trying one out! I wanted a big one to start off with but I went with the smaller and cheaper one to get used to how they fly. This really helped my knowledge of what to expect when it arrives so thank you for this helpful video! I heard it's quiet difficult to control drones and quadcopters (still a drone I am guessing?) and I tried to note your movements on the remote control. But it looked so confusing... Oh well! xD I'll give it a shot. I also saw that the blue version of this quadcopter has less flying time...? I wonder why, it said 5 minutes on the website (that I saw anyway). The pink one (that I ordered because I am such a girly girl even though blue is my favorite colour...) has 6-8 minutes? I honestly don't know. I haven't seen anyone on KZbin with a pink version of these either as I tried finding what the colour of the pink looks like. Some pictures on google look hot pink and some look a pastel baby pink so I am utterly confused on the colour of what I am expecting still so. Anyway, thanks! :D

WinterKiss Official good luck, they can be tricky to get used to at first! You'll probably get less than 5 mins if you have a prop guard on tbh, then have to charge as you can't swap batteries on these tiny quads. Always best to start with a small/cheap one before blowing a load of money on a DJI Phantom or equivalent and then it ending up being a waste! Furball.

Thank you for your reply! This helped a lot as I brought a prop guard along with my purchase. It's a shame these tiny quadcopters have such small flying time, and that the prop guard reduces it. It'll do for a beginner I suppose though! :)

+Chris Anderson I assume you refer to the pedals during the 'headcam' section of the video? The pedals under the cover is a set of Fanatec clubsport pedals, there is a Fanatec csr wheel as well on a wheel stand. Mainly used for GT5/6 and project cars. ;)

When you charging it, the head (where has the red light) of the cable gets hot? and the CX10 gets hot??

Yitian Feng It may get a little warm, I wouldn't describe it as 'hot'. I only noticed on the CX10, not the cable. I'll charge it up later and see. Furball.

i got CX-10 from ebay , when i fly this drone at maximum height , it looses connectivity and its motors stops and starts several times then comes down, dont know what to do , please suggest.................how to resolve this problem. though it works very fine in Indoor.

+Sameer Athaley Sounds like you are reaching the maximum range of the transmitter. I'm not sure what the max range is but the cx-10 is not a long range quadcopter.

Bobby Oaks sounds like there is still some paint in the motors on the side that isn't providing as much lift. Apart from stripping it down and cleaning it or getting some replacement motors there isn't much to do. If that doesn't work you may have to just get a new one :(

I see what you mean, the wires on some motors are more exposed than others. I can't see any marks on my wires from the prop guard so maybe you were unlucky?

Yes but beware sometime when you will crash the prop can cause damage to the motor wire fly it whithout the guard.

I just used the standard shipping which took about 3 weeks to arrive, they do offer quicker / more expensive options but I have no experience of using them.
