Initially, Scara was the one who believed he was discarded because he was too human. And if you would compare his ability to feel everything as a human would to the Shogun's inability, it's a plausible cause when you know little of the world. That's where the misunderstanding stems from. But thats also a big player in why Scara walled himself off so much (as well as the amount of loss he sustained around him. And the fact that when he did reach out to Ei for help with Tatarasuna, she didn't answer. Miko was the one that attempted to help at the time. His and Ei's relationship is so full of misunderstandings and the pain that comes from them.) He did learn later on about the real reason she abandoned him (bc no matter how you spin it, she still left him alone with the same level of knowledge and emotional maturity as a young child) and he mocks it. But people getting it wrong most likely steps initally from Scara originally misunderstanding.

Well even if Ei didn't attend to abandon him and thought it was for the good, for Scara it was still abandon as he was just "free" because he could feel emotion like a human should and we don't forget that Ei put Scara to sleep and hided him somewhere for many years before being find by someone so while both party are valid(as Ei was still mourning Makoto death and so didn't have the right mind and she didn't want to pressure Scara by forcing upon him a duty that she know will only hurt him mentaly and emotionaly because he ressembled Makoto and so didn't want the same fate that happened to Makoto happen to him), Scara has every right to be mad or resent Ei for what she did because she didn't explain anything,put him to sleep somewhere nobody could find him, making him wandering teyvat with the first emotion he felt after being waked up "hatred" as he was not taught how to understand and control emotion while expressing emotion is the first thing human do, children(like Scara because he had the mind of a child back then) don't know how to control it and that where adults and parental figure come Not being able to be in a healty environnement and be helped by adult to understand and control his emotion and help him growth to really understand life make him what he is today before finally being helped by Nahida to understand life, emotion,purpose so he can repay his debt over the people he wronged

She saw his emotions as humanity, so she didn't want to force the burden of a god on him. Furina is the perfect example of what happens when a human is forced to shoulder the burden of a god. Ei is wise enough to judge peoples' strengths, and Scara just didn't have what it took to take the gnosis' responsibility for eternity. Barely holding a gnosis made him cry, his mind would have definitely broken if Ei had not decided to let him go (given how prone to REAL hysterics he is, unlike Furina). That would also show just how much of a monster of determination Furina actually is, for not having broken her act despite her own emotions.

And Venti slept for hundreds of years before waking up, and that led to Eula's family being devastated for 100 years and so was Zhongli, he appeared once a year and gave instructions to the people. And if the thing you create works and functions well for a long time, will you let it continue and trust it? Of course. Just like the Shogun puppet, it worked well for over 400 years and passed Ei's many experiments and tests. So she trusted and entrusted the country to Raiden to take care of. The comparison is exactly why I still like Raiden and dislike Focalors. Raiden/Ei didn't want to pressure or control Scaramouche/Wanderer. So she let him live his own life. Focalors made a version of her she always wanted to be, but then Furina got traumatized over what Focalors promised her. Basically a villain-like behavior. I am a returnee in Genshin and just finished fontaine archon quest. I don't think Furina is a puppet in human body. Furina had a choice but chose to accept to suffer just to save others. I am still mad at Focalors despite knowing about her and her reasons. Furina just woke up, she was still naive and only remember the prophecy. She didn't know much yet. She already has to act as a god, carrying many high expectations and quilt for not having the power to save everyone every day. Even after she was put on trial and felt being abandoned by the people she swore to protect, she still choose to not spill her secret just to save her people. (This is just my opinion)

While i really like Furina and Focalors' story, i think the overexposion made me kinda get annoyed and not like Furina, but i think that if we had Focalors as the playable character i would love her much more. I didn't even reached Inazuma yet, but i'm crying for Focalors ;-;-;
