The thing is, she's not happy since this whole demo is her imagination. All the roles are reversed: Clorinde who needs to be protected, Childe who flees a fight, Neuvillette who goes to prison, the roles of Lyney and Lynette, Freminet's helmet fills with water, Charlotte taken in a photo. You can also notice that the seats are empty when she tosses her hat and that no one applauds at the end of the show and this for a good reason: she is alone and imagines a life where she would be important and happy.

So true, i genuinely DO NOT understand the Furina hate, she was the only character in genshin that i didn't wanna skip the dialogue of immediately, and later on i wanted to absorb every single word the va spoke and the action the character did into my brain and retain it for years to come. Man, I really love her character. She's just this adorable extra gremlin with a few hidden sides to her character that round her up to be perfect (imo). I have everything prepared so I can get her the minute 4.2 drops. Especially funny about the trailer is that most of those scenes are her personal head-canon. Like the Melusines chasing down Childe like they would even be remotely able to move like that (and if you look closely you can even spot some Melusines you might know).

Watch it again and you realise that every event that is happening with the other characters, like furina being adored by the audience, furina protecting clorinde, childe running from the melusines, neuvillette being arrested, lyney being in the box, freminettes helmet containing water INSIDE, and wriothesley and clorinde fighting are all inverted events of what happened in the archons quests. Furina is not actually beloved by her ppl, they look down on her, clorinde actually protects furina, Childe never actually ran from being arrested, neuvillette does not get arrested and instead convicts criminals, lyney was outside the box and Lynette was inside, freminette’s helmet is meant to have water OUTSIDE, and wriothesley and clorinde worked together in the fortress to hold off the primordial sea. This whole trailer is furina’s imagination going wild. Even at the end when she bows there are no claps to her performance showing how truly alone she is.
