This may be a bit overanalyzing, but actors, comedians, and theatre performers tend to be great empaths where part of the performance is gauging and controlling how the audience feels. Especially for Furina, she has to pay attention to the emotions of people around her to match her performance. All this to say that Furina's pretty smart because her ruse literally depended on analyzing the people around her and matching their perspective on how she is viewed as a god. @@randomperson-ep4nq there's a good chance Traveller filled him in on what happened because not everyone knows Ei replaced Makoto. Ei was essentially Makoto's shadow and Makoto herself was not part of the original seven unlike Venti and Zhongli. So Makoto may have inherented the role of Archon after the Archon War (2000 years ago) but she wasn't one immediately after overthrowing the Dragons. She was upholding the status quo but not the perpetuator. And Ei was basically her muscle and did what she was told until the Khaenri'ah disaster 500 years ago.

I mean… I’m pretty sure HuTao knows that Zhongli is at least an adeptus… considering her comments in last years latern rite. Also Furina seemed to have had suspicions as to who Zhongli was. The curious part of it all is that Neuvillette is actually thousands of years old… so there is a possibility that both Neuvillette and Zhongli could have met prior to the Archon war… It would be interesting to see how they interact now considering how much both of them have changed. Outside of the whole Archon/dragon issue they seem pretty similar, so HuTao is not wrong in stating that both Zhongli and Neuvillette would get along…🤔

Okay. On my own playthrough I did not catch the full meaning of Zhongli's first statements. He told us he and Hu Tao would be in Chenyu Vale, and there was no chance he didn't already know about events in Fontaine... so both of those statements were discreetly explaining the state of this conversation: nobody has spoken to Furina about events in Fontaine, and we also aren't discussing the ways adepti arrange to help each other out and "happen" to meet each other.

knowing Zhongli, I'm pretty sure he knows Neuvillette's true identity. I couldn't say the same for Neuvillette knowing who Zhongli actually is tho, it looks like Zhongli knows that Neuv can sense his "divinity" so that's why he avoided them..

Nah, he see Zhongli more as Archon than Dragon. Morax has left his dragon vessel too. There's Neuvi voice line about Geo Archon, which he did want to judge for Morax's position an Archon. No mention about Neuvi see Zhongli as dragon.
