@@PhilCrownz It was a curse of immortality, which was necessary for Focalors plan since she needed to fool everyone that Furina was a god. And that can't really happen with an ephemeral body of a human. But also, to think of why Furina was able to split in two. Well, think of Raiden being able to create a puppet to host her consciousness in. She isn't a clone, more so a split off of what she wanted to be compared to her divine state. Also, since Oceanids were able to create smaller versions of themselves and since we know they can create hydro creatures and eidolons, with the bottleland event, why shouldn't she be able to make an extension of herself that holds her divine and human counterpart?

Really? If you comeback to the first act of fontaine archon quest. This whole archon quest was pointless. The prophecy was pointless and felt rush. Of course mihoyo have no budget for a water to destroy fontaine. Arlecchino didnt do anything to this point. The narwhal was also pointless since skirk can discarded that. Furina didnt not have a character development but a torture from a terrible archon herself Focalor. This Quest had so many flaws .some of the writing is good tho can tell you that

If this is true then this is really tragic. Not just for "Furina" but for "Focalor" herself. She never really got to see the happy ending she desired now didn't she? Sure she could delude herself that a part of her lives on but you only need simple probing for that defense to easily fall apart. She never see the aftermath of her sacrifice. The body lives on...the divine soul though...has ceased. Essentially what "Focalor" specialized is to "hurt herself." And she used it to such a ridiculous degree that she managed to fool the heavenly principles. HAHAHAHA she deserves to be smug tbh. Though a part of me thinks she does this intentionally to get us to be annoyed at her so we go all "good riddance" or easily brush her off when she snuffs it. Still...I wished that smugness was on Furina. I wished Focalor could live as one with furina. This gives off the feeling the same pain when seeing the Ice King knowing the context. A good person who lost a part of themselves. Yet still earnestly trying and failing to keep it together. Personal Headcannon: Does anybody pondered that the reason Focalor didn't gjve the traveler access to her truth was because she's kinda ticked off with their attitude towards...well everything to fontaine? In a way they are accepting of the conclusion-the flood and the people dissolving, something Focalor/Furina is all about finding a way avoid. Add also the fact the they made furina broke down while also only trying to save her (Furina) at the last moment only because they still need answers. I mean, considering Focalor marinated- guilt tripped Neuvilette to sparing the fontainians, I wouldn't find it beyond her to be a bit petty. (Focalor) not being playable is like a meta way of saying "What, just because everyone likes you it's expected to me automatically liking you? Think again. Get this one cutscene and that's it, don't expect to get a skin of me for furina either."

No because, Focalors is definitely petty but doesn't show it in such obviousness like her human part. Focalors based on my understanding adores Furina for being the 'perfect' human she envisioned despite she(Furina) isn't free to pursuit her way of happiness. With the fact she died not giving the Traveler any answers is probably also her small f u at them for breaking her human part since the larger f u is towards the Heavenly Principles.

Honestly I feel bad for Furina she’s forever cursed with immortality and has to see everyone she knows and cares about die before … she’s stuck with sorrow and loneliness I knew she was cursed with something prior to 4.2 I couldn’t put my finger on it. The whole Focalors / Furina splitting reminds me of Vergil / V from DMC V similar scenarios imo but this is by far the most dark story update.

As far as I understand it, Furina is no longer immortal. She was cursed as long as the divinity (Focalors) was alive. Now that Focalors is gone, I believe she meant what she truly said to Furina, to live her life as an actual human & a limited lifespan

Nope. Furina is Focalors' human creation not human form just like Focalors is Egeria's oceanid creation. Yes Focalors created Furina to her likeness but Forcalor was never Furina and vice versa. They're different from Raiden Shogun and Ei situation. Ei can transfer or manifest her consciousness in the Shogun puppet at will while Focalor never possessed Furina's body nor does she plan to. They're two different individuals with their own separate consciousness. Furina is a sentient being, Raiden Shogun is an AI robot. Furina technically was never the Archon, it has always been Focalors. The playable Furina is just a human who got her vision.

No, the nation *would've* died if it wasn't for Focalor's successful plan. The hydro dragon needed all of his powers back to be able to reign control of all waters and in extension, the primordial water inside Fontainians. They managed to not dissolved because Neuvilette managed to turn them into full fledge humans just in time before they would actually originally dissolve.

Focalors didn't "create" Furina. Tldr; Focalors is a human created by Egeria using primordial sea power. After Egeria's death, Focalors recieve the authority as long as the divine power of an Archon. She then seperate that power a long with her memory (the divine) from her human self which is Furina (the human)

Based on my understanding, Focalors created Furina as her own human body to deceive everyone. So technically, Furina IS the Hydro Archon but the human version, thus she was weak. It's like Makoto and Ei, or Ei and the Shogun. It's like Furina has two identities, Focalors and Furina, ever since Focalors died though, Furina took full control of her body, and because Focalors was the actual God, Furina no longer has that identity and her divinity is gone.

I can explain it, ig, as everyone else said, there is no hydro archon anymore, it ended with focalors, and for the furina being a little similar to the archon pattern thing, it’s because despite the fact she’s not the hydro archon, She’s still marketed as one(to an extent), and the pneuma/ousia thing is because neuvilette gave her the vision and because he is more powerful and because it’s his vision he can grant her such powers and unless I’m wrong after you complete furina’s story quest, the ‘???’ Thing changes to ‘vision: hydro’, hope this helped you understand ^_^
