What hurts the most is that Furina, although she knew about Focalors and her intentions of saving Fontaine, she didn't know how. So when Furina lost the trial, all she could think about is that those 500 hundred years of suffering were in vain. I cannot imagine how she felt, and seeing her desperate to convince everyone otherwise is heartbreaking.

Yes I agree, this was the most important infomation as to why she broke down at the end before the oratrice about to give the sentence, she really thought she failed after what she sacrificed for centuries, the only archon who could compete to her is rukkadevata, but its the fact that furina herself was a human and not focalors makes it even worse, as much as I love nahida, I gotta give this to furina, even just a human she far exceeded the other archons, therefore she deserves everything life has to offer in her normal life.

All they know is that the Hydro Archon used up all her power to produce Indentium (or whatever the thingy is), thus she retired as an Archon. Never the Furina who was always human and kept up the facade in order to fulfill Focalors' promise that if she succeeds, then Fontaine will overcome the prophecy. The general public don't even know that it was Furina's effort that managed to avert the prophecy, and not simply that the prophecy was wrong.

Neuvillette just dealt with the crisis of the possion incident and neuvillete at all costs wanted to stop there from being any more victims he felt he needed to be harsh on furina for once. The intention of this trial was to pressure furina to get her to reveal everything she knew to try and think of a solution with all cards on the table. Its obvious he and traveller felt he could no longer prioritize furinas feelings. Of course in hindsight we now know that furina not telling anyone WAS the solution to saving everyone. But from the perspective of everyone else with the exception furina and foclaors, this is what everyone felt what needed to be done to save fontaine.

This part was brutal. Furina was already at breaking point by this time and being subjected to the trial really hammered more of what's left of her mental state. What's sad is had Freminet brought the first slab early, they would have understood the prophecy a bit better. But even then, the prophecy will still happen one way or the other.

To all those who don't understand well, she wasn't crying because she lost the battle, nor that everyone hated her, she was crying because her 500 years masqurade to change the prophecy wasn't gonna happen, to her mind revealing her identity means the prophecy that will come will never change and every fontanians will soon be gone once the prophecy arrives, the masquerade was to stall that prophecy from happening until her other half manage to do so, which is why she was begging everyone in the court to believe her, it did change but she didnt know about the entire plan, so to her, she knows that the prophecy will soon come and she will be left alone and she can't do anything about it, her pain only stopped as soon as she saw fontainians unaffected. Yeah she is the best archon alongside rukkadevata probably even more, because she did all this as a human.

I think the worst part about this was that Furina was correct with almost everything she said. Focalors' divinity was using all her power to secure indemnitium to save fontaine. Focalors' would've dissolved in contact with the primordial seawater as well, as she's also an oceanid formed human. The fact focalors' didn't even tell her about any of this and she still "knew" (coming up with the actual reason) is interesting, but of course, no one believed her. She deserves so much better.

I think that is one more reason as of why Neuvillette stoped caring out the sentence on a law perspective, cuz besides him knowing the truth as a being, he also knows, that what Furina said wasn't wrong but instead the thing, that actually happend in the background. Focalors power was entirely used for producing, her body would have acted similar to same as Furina depending on how the Archon power affects that and Furinas question about who the Archon were if she isn't the Archon wasn't even answerd correctly because they assumed that the Archon wouldn't have been affected by the water.

@@goddamnarshia genshin really did make some awful decisions with furinas character post archon quest. Its like genshin is allergic to having a good story and characters for too long. They have to sabotage their writing somewhere which is frustrating cause act 5 and the handelling of furinas character was so perfect and then for the writing quality to drop off and have traveller and paimon to be suck a jerk to her when shes a traumatized girl because "haha funny dialogue funny paimon is making a joke about furina cant cook and shes a drama queen" rather than choosing to commit to the themes and arcs of the character. I dont have a problem with how anyone was treating furina during the archon quest they were all feeling terrible about the rising seawaters leading to people dissolving so they felt they felt they were out of time and needed to pressure furina who at the time they still held belief she really was the archon and get answers from her. But the story quest after theres no excuse. I dont agree that the writers should make them reveal focalors plan they dont need to do that. Theres too much in canon risks of flat out revealing the plan. All they need to tell is be vague that furina was given a mission by the hydro archon to play the role and that would be more than enough imo. But yeah genshin really messed up post archon quest with furina. Poor girl. I hear the chinese fanbase is also super mad at hoyoverse currently and hoyoverse listens to them so hopefully she gets treated better next time.

It was happy and sad at the same time that she free from sackle of burden and at last no cared for her. They ignored at last like she won't exist, in Archon quest. I was expecting something like traveller will go to meet her and will show some sympathy but not. I have not completed Furina quest so I don't know how did she get treated after the prophecy .

Traveler only cares about his brother and his "altruism" is more of a means to an end. They only sought answers from Furina, no matter how she felt or how much they hurt her. Even Paimon makes fun of the suffering he went through those 500 years. You don't necessarily have to empathize with the character but at least you owe him respect for everything he did, especially those who know. The best thing Hoyo did was make Furina in Fontaine's savior because, this time, the traveler didn't deserve it.

Just this trial alone must have been incredibly terrifying and traumatizing, let alone her assault or the past 500 years. Crying in vain while everyone turns their back on you is something straight out of a nightmare. Her chronic fatigue and reclusiveness is incredibly real and true to life. If it does make you feel better while it's not showing on the screen and another bit is in character stories people that help her. Neuvillette was keeping tabs on her on making sure all her food accommodation and clothing are all taken care of. Essentially speaking she could basically have whatever she wants and Neuvillette will see that it's paid for and taking care of. Clorinde who was the one who helped her move to her new place ( explained in character stories). The Traveler however can go suck a fat one. They only jump up to save her for answers not to you know stopped her from ya know...being executed. They don't even check up on her at all only going to look for her when they basically want her to act again which is a really tone deaf and insensitive thing to ask someone who's been forced to act in a role they didn't want to didn't want to for 500 years.

if u guys blame traveler for this,i say u guys are sucks .Traveler is not psychic. Traveler are not friend with furina. Traveler barely have conversation with her until 4.2 .Anything traveler know are from hearsay. And traveler's situation in dire ,everyone will die soon and traveler need answer. Neuvillete suggested this trial so blame him instead. As melus said,sometime force is required to get someone down and get them listen to what you say.

The Traveler and Paimon were UNBELIEVABLY CRUEL to Furina in both the archon quest and her side quest. I hate that im forced to play as them. I hate that Furina talks to them about her problems, no one deserves her trust, especially the traveler, she is literally too good for her entire country.

In my opinion, genshin characters always were a bit of arrogant and lacked empathy to the "wrong party", but in 4.1 and 4.2 quest they are just straight up cruel :(
