I love all the details in the world building, like all the tactics they've developed for wasteland survival and warfare. The raiders pulling the tire to kick up sand and obscure vision against snipers. People using the sand dunes to break line of sight and gain advantage. All the ways they use scavenged material to build devices for vehicle combat. A lot of thought and creativity was put into how this world works.
@Cheeseb0ng6 ай бұрын
yeah there is so much detail in that world, every time you re-watch it you see something new, like how everyone in the green place wears a whistle on a necklace or how one of the bikes has a sock for an air filter. The first bike Mary uses has a giant wrench on the swing bar holding a nut in place and handbags on the rear bar as covering.

I wish we could see even more Mad Max movies coming out. A film should not be exclusively measured by box office performance, but by critics, by the importance of its work and authors. We see that this is the case with Furiosa, I hope this doesn't imply the shelving of future George Miller films on this theme, because it's a type of direction and world creation that we don't often see out there and adds a lot to the history of the action movies. These cuts and framing are very clean and keep you centered, in fact it's almost like each frame is a painting.

So we now know the Green Place is in central Australia and to the West of it are Mountains beyond which is where the Citadel is located. My best guess is the Citadel is at the Western end of the Macdonnell range. Bullet town is an open cut mine to the north. The green place is the Trephina Gouge National Park. Alice Springs would be in the middle of the Citadel and Green Place. Gas town is pure fiction as Australia oil reserves are either coastal or off shore.

The teeth on Immortan Joe's mask are horse teeth. The guys that took Furiosa killing and butchering a horse was such a phenomenal detail. It showed the Green Place had horses and the fact that there were windmills and solar panels means the Many Mothers had probably abandoned vehicles entirely. It also showed where Immortan Joe scored those teeth for his mask. That is masterclass world building. This flick was brilliant.
@UmbrellaGent6 ай бұрын
It's established in the film that the Immortan Joe, people of the Citadel, or any outsiders for that matter, didn't know about the Green Place. The goons that kidnapped Furiosa were the only outsiders to have discovered it and the secret was lost with their death.
@jimrogers20896 ай бұрын
@UmbrellaGent I realize that (as aggressively as young Furiosa was questioned about the location) but assumed that at least one horse escaped the Mothers and had been killed (or the corpse found). I'm completely unfamiliar with the desert down under, but I'd have thought horses weren't that prominent.
