Saw it last night. Very disappointing. These original reviews must be shills. It drags and is FAR too long. Mad Max movies should never drag. Technically well made but it is not the epic it wants to be. Plot is paper thin and there is a subplot in the middle that could easily be dropped and the ending just peters out. Maybe my expectations were too big but there was little to no applause when it ended and usually with free advanced screenings the audience eats it up. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I feel like 'masterpiece' is a word that gets thrown around way too much. The new apes movie was quoted as being masterpiece when it was nowhere near that, it was just an alright movie.

It’s really dependent on each person but so far I think the best movie bangers of the year are Dune 2, Godzilla x Kong, Kingdom, and hopefully Furiosa is the next film to be added on the list.

@RYCBARM123 when I say masterpiece, I should’ve explained better that similar terms are also used for example Cortex's video calling it a 'triumph' like no, it was anything but a triumph. It was lackluster, the pacing was awful, the human male character offered absolutely nothing to the story whatsoever and the only good thing about the movie was discarded unceremoniously it was so random.

I'm seeing a lot of reviews saying it's definitely not a Fury Road but it's own story. As much as i like my non-stop full throttle action, character writing is where's my dose at and by the looks of it, both Anya & Chris have done a good job

Just saw it. Its nothing like Fury road it's a origin story its a long movie but I loved it the movie is incredible I think it's a master class in filming Hemsworth is oscar worthy this is he's Best preformance he's character is very interesting and strange Ana is amazing as well she is so bad ass . I like fury road and furiosa the same but there very different movies

Not having seen the movie, I cannot yet give an opinion. But from what I've seen so far in regards to Anya's career, she has always made the right choices. Whether it be The Queen's gambit, The Menu, One Night In Soho or Thoroughbreds, she seems to Always hit the mark. I don't see why it should be any different this time around. She seems to have a 6th sense for sniffing out potential winners. I can't wait to see what she brings to the table in the Mad Maxverse. I'm sure she will hit it out of the Park once again ! Go, girl ! 😎👍

Do not watch or read any reviews before seeing a movie you want to see. No offense to reviewers out here but people have lost the ability to think for themselves, and get too afraid to express their like or a dislike for a film just because others like or dislike a film.

Yeah, they said the same thing about Prey, The Marvels, and Captain Marvel, and look how that turned out. People have just gotten so used to crap, that anything less crappy is now a masterpiece, but it is still crap.

There is so much in the screen play that it is possible to miss the subtle details of certain characters(.I also would include all the vehicles ,bikes , props, makeup , wardrobe. Look at the vehicles and bikes as the supporting characters as well.) With a George Miller screen play the audience can pell away at it if they wish . The greatness of this film is that it can stand alone from Fury Road . George Miller will never rehash what he has done before. That is why he is where he is .
