They are not shy and they won't be embarrassed because they think their rights. It's normal behaviour for these people and they will try to get away with it. Something similar to this has happened to me, when I was en route from Malaysia to Dubai. I was supposed to sit near the window but this lady took my seat and her husband was at the middle seat. I politely asked her that she’s on my seat and she and her husband looked at me straight in the eye and COMPLETELY ignored me. A flight attendant was the discomfort on my face and cane to my aid, took my ticket and politely asked her that she’s taken my seat. The lady got mad and said she wanted to sit here, she was so stubborn she INSISTED she didn’t want to move. The flight attendant said that I paid for this seat so it’s rightfully mine, the lady seemed to be getting angrier. I told the flight attendant that “it’s fine, she can have my seat” cause I did not want any drama occurring on this flight. The flight attendant asked me if I’m sure about this, then told me that if there’s any problem just let her know (she was so kind) Not even 5 minutes have passed the lady and her husband demanded that they wanted to get “better seats” cause it seems that after getting what they want from the previous ordeal they think they could easily get what they want. And ofc the flight attendant rejected their request but told them they could move to ANOTHER economy seat IF one of the passengers failed to board the plane. And then that didn’t work they asked another flight attendant but she told them the same reason. They didn’t manage to get a “better seat” and got stuck with me. It’s seemed like she hated my presence.
@rin__4 жыл бұрын
Must have been hard having to sit beside people who act like that. And in a long flight too. You were really kind to offer your paid seat. I have experienced something similar but the issue was with the flight attendant. I always feel claustrophobic seating at the aisle seat, thus, I always paid extra to get the window seat. During boarding time, a foreigner sat on my seat and seemed reluctant to switch. While we were talking to each other, a flight attendant came to us & told me "all seats are just the same. You just need to sit" (while pointing at the seat that the foreigner was supposed to sit at, and went away). I was baffled to see a flight attendant solving the problem like that. I paid for that seat and she just dismissed me like I was arguing over a freebie. I was so tired to argue that day, so I just went on and seat there. During the flight, the foreigner's friend sitting in the middle seat felt bad & suggested me to exchange seat with her other friend at the back who was sitting at the window seat. I turned and saw two elders at the middle & aisle seats that probably had to get off their seats for me to do it. So I politely refused the offer and said thank you. During the whole flight, I couldn't stop thinking about how the flight attendant handled the situation. It was an unpleasant experience and, until today, I still feel reluctant to book a flight from that airline. If it's not for the low price, I wouldn't even be bothered to put it into consideration.
@ouwkyuha4 жыл бұрын
you deserve better seat, no one should sit beside them for health reason

This kind of thing happened to me too. My sister was participating a singing competition and the venue was a college theater so my mom bought 2 seats up high cause it was the cheapest since she wont be sitting for long anyway. Halfway through the event, 3 men asked me to move because im sitting in their seat, and getting angry at me, a kid, even throwing insults. Since my mom was backstage with my sister and the ticket was with her, i could only move seats almost crying(i was in primary school). Then when my mom went back to her seat i told her what happened and turns out we had the correct seat and complained to the organizer and we were given seats in front instead. But those men just kept sitting there shamelessly. I don't know whats it with people wanting to get other people seats if you want that seat you could have asked first atleast

You’re talking about what the majority of rational people would normally do. Most people have respect for the rules, don’t like confrontation, and don’t have time for pettiness. In many of these Chinese mainland videos, you have parents allowing their children to defecate in public, people hoarding huge amounts of food at buffets but only eating a small % of it, and people breaking the rules and doing things they’re not supposed to. If you really research why this is, some say they learned this bad behavior from their Chinese mainland parents and the vicious cycle repeats itself. There’s even a video of a Chinese tourist doing graffiti in Egypt on some ancient artifact. No respect for anything.

So I placed my belongings including my name tag and my own personal bag on top of a chair at a table and went to the lavatory thinking that no one would take my seat at that table. Upon my return, my seat was occupied by a Chinese academic and she simply left my belongings on the dining table. I noticed that she wouldn't make eye contact with me. I didn't want to make a scene so I simply stood there wondering what I should do since by then all the tables were fully taken. Long story short, the conference organizers had to do last minute scrambles to find me a seat before the keynote speaker would start his speech. I am a Chinese and it is embarrassing to see all these comments. I have to admit that most of the older generations in China are like these. In China, the young generations like myself have notice what they are doing are improper and we are ashamed that they left bad impressions to people around the world. But it is hard to change them as they been like this for almost entire of their life. It has something to do with their background. China had been through a tough time when they were at our age, people were poor back then and there was the culture revolution, no one carried about education so as “manner” because all they were trying to do were to stay away from hunger. I am not trying to avoid this problem but just want to let everybody know that we have realized it and we are trying to get better in every aspect. Ps, not everyone in China is like this to be honest...
@y-jk16745 жыл бұрын
I don't get why the Chinese still admire Mao. They hail him. They hail the man who destroyed every good aspect of the Chinese culture, spreaded poverty just because of stupid decision making, and ravaged the whole Chinese society due to the thirst for seizing power. All the uncultured, bad-mannered mainlanders are like this way because of him.
@lemoneyxie1445 жыл бұрын
Fatina Kao That’s not exactly true. Some people in my grandparents age may admire him due to politics or just the atmosphere at that time made people follow him. Nowadays no one really cares. Every country has some sort of history and not all history is as beautiful as an epic poem.
@y-jk16745 жыл бұрын
I agree that not every country's history is perfect. However, we need to acknowledge the faults we made, like what the Germans do and what the Japanese don't do. Generally speaking, Chinese people hate Japanese people but they're all the same when it comes to looking back on history and learn from it. The culture revolution took hundreds of thousands of lives but Mao simply shrugged it off, and so does the Chinese history textbook. The younger generation being oblivious to this dark part of history ISN'T a good sign, it actually shows that no one cares about it, therefore no one has learned from it. I really wonder, nowadays if any Chinese dare to criticize Mao in a completely unbiased way, how will the public and the people react?
