Some of us, most of us are quite ordinary middle class people and a few are among the wealthy elite. They exist and are as entitled to their world as we are to ours. He is an aristocrat, married to a member of the British Royal Family and they are both wealthy -- he especially. It would be pretentious for him to pretend to be something he is not. He's not saying, Oy! If you scrimp and save, you too can live in one of the most expensive homes in the world in an ultra posh neighbourhood. His audience is very focused, very small and VERY privileged financially. Some are, some are not. Good luck to Eduardo, he seems to be a decent fellow.

Because they rent the apartments there from the Crown Estate for around £20,000/mth. Even members of the public can rent apartments in St James' Palace if they can afford it, and have done since 2015 when QEII started letting them out to people. Nothing new. There have been a few articles out this week about Princess Beatrice (and Eugenie) perhaps being asked to become working royals. It seems likely this scrutiny directed towards her husband is part of the inevitable examination of their lives which has resulted from the possibility of her becoming an official working royal (and thus receiving taxpayer funds, one would assume, as the working royals do). To me, his remarks suit his current business market and are appropriate for that market. Right now, that's his literal job. Yet being in a business that deals with and caters to such wealth, in today's reality for most people, seems likely to force this young couple to face some difficult choices about what her (or him?) becoming working royals could mean for their daily lives, scrutiny wise. In my opinion, Beatrice's husband Edo seems a very good man and he always seems very interested in honoring and upholding royal traditions and customs and history and to me seems like he would be a wonderful modern young representative, along with Beatrice, of the UK monarchy today. Together, they could be a powerful team for highlighting causes that could help other people. But this would likely mean stepping away from a business that reflects only a tiny privileged segment of the population. It would be worth it, and I hope they do. These are not easy choices and decisions but think long term. What are their goals and priorities in this life? Best wishes to Princess Beatrice and her husband❤

if I had that kind of money, I'd buy the place with the furniture not because I am buying into whatever he thinks he is promoting, but because it's one less problem to deal with and I can't be bothered to waste time buying furniture and dealing with interior decorators.
