Some updates on the FX-118. I'm including a quick how to for filling the shocks with oil. It was too short to be it's own video. The transmission rebuild video will be coming in the next day or so. I just have to finish editing.

Great vido.great truck to,did what you did with all the gears, happened to have the bearings too. So they went in also. Like your up grade ideas. Looking forward to those skid plates. K keep them coming

Sliders are coming along! I think they are going to be made using nylon. Just making sure nothing needs to be changed before releasing them.

I have 3 different sets of injora wheels and tires for my trx4ms the hub pins are smaller on the fx118 and the factory hubs have movement in the wheels .. what wheels an tires are u using the furitek don't seem to be a true 7mm hub

@@timdelbruegge3164 I'm using Treal 1" Vintage wheels with the extended wheel hubs that were included with them. I measured the FX118 hub and it came out to 6.8mm and the stock wheel hubs measure out to exactly 7mm so slightly small considering most wheel manufacturers size to about 7.4mm to minimize sticking on the hubs. However, Once the wheels were tightened down on mine the only play I had was in the portal output which I hope will be fixed when the bearing kit gets here. The Treal hubs came in at 7.2mm on all of their wheels I have.

I've noticed u can't tighten up the wheels to much causes it to bind as well, not a fan of the way shocks are mounted I was hoping to try some injora shocks I had laying around but looking like not gonna be able to use them since fx is pressed on a ball

Great updates buddy! Nice sliders as well. If I end up picking one of those rigs up I will have to buy some sliders from you. Nice easy changes you did as well to make it a better performer. I will be watching what you do with it.

Thank you. It's actually a really good truck. It just needs a little work and adjusting out of the box. Luckily most of it is either free or inexpensive.

Thanks for the tips. Beautiful rims and tires. Nice job on side sliders !👍 Still noisy. Don't you think it's because the wide Lexan Body acts like a bell, amplifying the motor sound ?

The camera tends to make the trucks sound a bit louder than they actually are. In person this truck is now only slightly louder than a stock SCX24. I think a lot of that will actually go away once I swap all the bushings out for bearings.

Layed my shocks all the way on the upper holes, have about 80mm of flex now. had to trim the servo wings down so the servo does nor hit the rails

Nice. I ended up just trimming the frame rails. I had no plans to run bumpers so the bumper mounts were completely removed. Saved a few grams and there is a ton of room for flex.

Which is better to buy fms LC80 or this furitek mate?🙏❤️

I think it depend on what you want out of it. If you're looking for a really good looking relatively true to scale trail truck the LC80 wins. If you aren't concerned with the true to scale side of things and want a really good rock crawler the FX-118 would be better. You could also take a look at the new Hobby Plus Evo Pro. I haven't bought one yet, but it looks to be a brushed 2 speed version of the FX-118.
