Wow just wow that thing is an absolute monster! Good choice 👍🏻 I cannot believe that MK’s punch. I’ve got the chasis all built up just getting the suspension dialed in, such a nice chassis. Would love a how to on your suspension setup’s also!

Greta comparo. Sound similar enough. Just wait for the MOFO F-Bomb or Torpedo or whatever he decides to call the next Nano bad boy coming soon. I can’t wait. And he has a stubbier/shorter Komodo diameter brushless in the works as well. Cheers!

I'd say the MK is louder than the Nano Beast for sure, but I still love it! I kinda wanted to wait on Nick's new brushless stuff, but I also needed stuff to put on my birthday list. LOL Is the bigger one you're talking about like the Holmes 380 revolver?

@@JPWirt Yeah maybe similar size. He described it as a stubby Komodo. So should still work with existing mounts, just not eat up all the space.

Love the sound, mini big blocks!!!! What have you done to the suspension keep trying different things on my gladiator, long travel shocks,high clearance links, lots of brass ect, rc4 scramblers. I'm not even close to that! Help

Check out my how to & build playlist. I've thought about doing a video on how I have my suspensions setup. Guess I need to now. kzbin.info/aero/PLMluEQ-yts0D7c2AVuXiq4oqD5x5Lmw4x

@@JPWirt will these apply to the gladiator? Kinda seems like it's the bastard stepchild. Seems most of the stuff is for deadbolt and the c10

@@stevenbrooks7776 the only Gladiator parts that shouldn't work with other models are the links. Give me a few days and I'll make a chassis/suspension setup video that will hopefully help you out.

Awesome, thanks!! I'm looking forward to it. I have the 4mm axles, and 9gr wheel extensions and yesterday the front end bound up cuz of a bent inner fr axle shaft bent, my local shop says to much leverage with the big steering servo I got, I can see that on the outer piece but the inner

It would have been useful to run then in reverse too. My micro komoto is noisier in reverse and I have no idea if that's normal.

Interesting. I haven't noticed that on mine.

How much better do you like brushless over brushed and what's yer favorite setup so far? This is an scx24 specific question. Also, what is yer favorite esc so far? 🤘🍻🤘

This Micro Komodo with the Lizard Pro ESC is my favorite combo so far because of the extreme slow speed control, size, and 3S capability that allows more wheel speed than the Nano Beast & Lizard in Special Kei. For brushed, I actually prefer the OX/Lizard combo in the Deadbolt over the PN90. The PN90 is very powerful and would be better suited to a monster truck build I think. I couldn't ever get the startup & low speed tuned in as well as the OX. The OX is less expensive too if you factor in all the accessories required to run the PN90. For ESC, I think the Lizard Pro is hard to beat. Brushed & Brushless capable, 3S capable, ON/OFF switch, better internal BEC, and it's tiny.

@@JPWirt yeah I think I have decided on the lizard pro for both my scx24's. I've only tried two non stock motors so far, both brushed. The first was the 100 turn micro motor from rc4wd. It was more torque than stock but less wheel speed, it lasted longer than a stock motor. The second is a power hobby 66 turn hi torque 050 motor. I've only run maybe 3 batteries through it so far. Seems to be a good bit more torque and definitely much more wheel speed than stock. But I am thinking I will go brushless for a few reasons. How do the micro komodo and the komodo compare. Is the komodo enough better to warrant the size?
@JPWirt2 жыл бұрын
@@forrestcrabbe, I've never tried the Komodo, but a lot of people find they make rigs too top-heavy. I think the small outrunner brushless motors (Nano Beast & Micro Komodo) are perfectly suited to the light/med weight SCX24. The Komodo I think would be best in a heavier/larger vehicle like the Atlas 6x6 or heavyweight long & wide SCX24.
