Oh how I love my Furls! I have a collection of them. Awaiting on the new purple Taurus one and just received the new red Aries hook. I have a bit of problem with buying Furls! I’ve been waiting forever for the circular knitting needles. They do have a 90 day money back guarantee. I think they should have a lifetime warranty, but ... I love them just the same.

They actually will honor them for the lifetime of the hook if they break or get damaged, even if you drop them😊

@@dawnmontgomery73 jepp i aslo heard that they will replace hooks if they break. i dont know if thats 100% true but i heard it quite often already. what can definately say is that they have a very very nice customer service. it takes a few days to get back to you sometimes but they are super nice and very helpful. i placed my first order yesterday, 8 odyssey hooks (4 black, 4 navy) and cant wait for them to arrive 🥰😍

Thank you for the review. I keep watching these reviews and I use the knife hold it just keeps reinforcing that I will not be buying a Furls for any price. But thank you for your research. Love your wooden handle. Stay safe and have a good day.

@fiber fox studios I would have to look at the hooks in person and say for sure if it tool marks or a polishing/buffing issue. But if anything of the marks you can feel with your finger or your nail can catch on it you want to probably get replaced. Reason why is if it is catching your nail when it could rust and also be a germ holder. I know my inspection experience was with medical surgical instruments but a lot of medical grade metals are used in a lot of other items. If its a polishing/buffing marks I can probably get them out for you.

I love mine. I tried the bates, the boyes, etc and my hands ached so badly I was ready to give up crochet. These hooks make it possible for me to continue on. The streamline and streamline swirls are a bit longer and are lighter. That's the only real difference I've ever found and I have used all three. I initially wanted to try the clovers but found the largest sizes were upwards of 17 or more per hook as well so figured I might as well try a furls so that's what got me to even try them.

I love the look of those hooks they are so so beautiful but I feel that even with a discount they are so so overpriced. Mind you I do recognize the craftsmanship of the hooks and the warranty but still... maybe a family member will gift me one for my upcoming birthday! Even with the discount I think you should complain as you have made a lifetime investment. Loved all the good information in this review.

Thanks, Courtney! I think if I had a skinny hook, I'd buy some polymer clay off eBay and make the handle thicker myself. I'd choose blue n purple, and swirl it! =)

Hi Courtney! I would rather have a handle like yours than a fancy hook. I just love wood! I held my hook like you do forever until I had to put it away for a while due to pain and swelling. I started holding it the other way and a friend sent me a set of inexpensive ergonomic hooks and between the 2, I was able to crochet again. Still can't do it for hours but that's ok. For me, I'd rather spend that money on yarn rather than one hook. I like their wooden ones with the bigger center more than anything but I think they cost even more. Great review!

the wooden streamlines shaped like the ones she reviewed are their least expensive hook options.

@@paulavance5096 yes I've seen them but they are definitely not comparable with the odysseys in shape or comfort for sure. i think those are 'status' hooks. Same with the candy shop hooks which are ok but very short

Status hooks is a great way to put that! Whew that price, I feel less guilty about these now haha I didn't even see the ones Paula is talking about, it jumped to 165 and I fell over 😆 🤣

I could not justify spending that much on a hook. I recently bought something similar in shape from the We crochet website. They are made out of Resin, very light, haven't tried it yet, I'm skeptical, but if I don't like it I only lost 10.00. I've also bought something similar from Hobby Lobby a while ago but they only have 2 sizes: 3.75 & 4.0 mm. I like them

They do indeed alleviate pain. They never claimed that their hooks can reverse arthritis damage 🤦🏽♀️ I can crochet all day before I feel a twinge of pain. If you are using the hook correctly then yes your stitches become very consistent. It is clear from how big your homemade handle is on your hook that you need more girth throughout the handle, that being the case you may want to stay with your homemade hooks 🤷🏽♀️
@adonzworld53084 жыл бұрын
you might want to try WoodBhooks, i this is how it is spelled. Yarnutopia on KZbin swears by them. her father makes them for her. of course. i don't know how you hold your hooks, but he makes them to fit both pencil and knife grip holders using either susan bates or boye hooks. just a suggetion.

So I ran into issues with the furls odyssey due to the weight. I used it exclusively and over time post video and I started to have more issues with pain especially in my thumb when I would be working one of my patterns that is heavy on DC's. I switched to a different hook from a different company and found it to be much better. Ultimately I would recommend trying the wood furls or another wood handle hook. TooShayCrochetHooks on Etsy is great hook maker and I use Nelsonwood hooks as well and love them. He has a website, www.nelsonwood.net. Many people love the furls odyssey and I am a daily crocheter that's often under a deadline so it could be that I just over do it and they may be perfect for you.

If you had paid $33 for the hook, you would've had a problem with the marks on it...but not since you paid $25??? Girl you are silly!!! I know what you mean, but even for $25 I would expect the same quality!! I've never paid more than $7 for ANY hook because I'm cheap.😂 I have lots of Clover hooks but I've always got them with a coupon for at least 40% off. But as I said, I would expect the same quality whether you paid full price or not. And I'm sure they would refund or exchange the hook. They are quite pretty💜💜💜
