Looks like Edward in real life; I could imagine old No. 20 being young Edward's mentor. I like the idea of a Railway Series fan story where he meets Edward, perhaps visiting the Clay Pits Museum where Edward, Bill & Ben live in retirement & working tourist trains with Edward, who has been restored to his original Furness Railway livery.
