Ideal sofa structure is 4inch base 40 or 32 density HR foam plus plus 1inch HR foam for giving better finishing and look of sofa. Back side of sofa foam 2inch soft foam plus 1inch PU or HR foam. For sofa handle 2inch PU foam. Border of sofa 15mm PU foam is best combination of foam.
SR 707 is best for pasting sofa foam.
Pin size 23/6 and 23/8 used in sofa.
Sofa fabrics types are...
Velvet leather base sofa fabrics.
PU leather sofa fabrics.
Juit base sofa fabrics.
Genuin leather base sofa fabrics(high cost material)
leather base sofa fabrics.
Cotton base sofa fabrics.
Linen base sofa sofa fabrics.
Wool base sofa fabrics.
Silk base sofa fabrics.
Rayon base sofa fabrics.
Polyester base sofa fabrics.
Etc.
Now a days highly used sofa fabric is velvet base leather sofa fabrics.
Life of sofa fabrics (8 to 10 years) depends upon use.
You have to spend enough time for selecting right sofa foam and fabrics because once you made sofa you can not change so it's important to select right foam and fabrics if you don't want to regret.

If condition of ur sofa good than don't need to change. Just change fabric and foam. Velvet base lather is trending .
