My dad was given this drug, 80 mg and is doing horribly. He has every horrific side effect including hearing loss. His legs have more edema than ever before for some odd reason. He's dizzy, weak and tired. What is the point of this drug if it's also making his renal failure WORSE?? I'm so angry about this but he won't allow me to speak to his doctor. I believe it will cause his demise along with the blood pressure drug. Everything has gotten much worse since he started both.

Hi, I wonder if you still read comments about this video. I have a real problem with furosemide. I have the usual symptoms of water retention eg swollen stomach, legs and increased weight. I have been given furosemide by my Gp but started to suffer with severe urine infections. I did not realise at first that it could come from the furosemide (20 mg) tablet. I was almost for a whole year on anti-biotics . Something made me decide to stop the tablet for a few days and within 3 days the infection stopped. I repeated the process of taking and stopping the tablets for three times and the same thing happened. After that I told my GP that I would stop taking it altogether. Since then I developed other symptoms like breathing problems for which I had to take increased Asthma medication. There seems to be a problem with me taking certain tablets. Recently my Perindopril blood pressure tablet got changed by a new brand. I immediately ended up with Urine infections. I asked for it to be replaced by the old ones ( this was no longer covered by the insurance company and started paying for it). I wonder whether there is something in certain tablets that causes me to get these infections? I have got one kidney. Is this causing some of the problems? I am not taking anything now for water retention. Could you advice me what to do? I looks as if my GP cannot help me anymore.

Yvonne... You are destroying your immune by taking too much antibiotic. Ingest one clove of fresh garlic crushed, or chopped to bits, and down it in water. Garlic is natural antibiotic. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 To build health and immune: one capsule of cod liver oil daily, one spirulina (or moringa) daily. Drink water as soon as you get up in the morning. Extra: enjoy bone broth occasionally to keep strong and collagen supplied to your cheeks😂 Surprise yourself. (None on the above are drugs, so fear not)❤️❤️❤️

My doctor put me on Furosemide about five or six month ago - since that time, I have noticed that my Tinnitus, a constant "whooshing sound" in my ears Has gotten much worse - I have had Tinnitus off and on for twenty years, but doesn't Furosemide exacerbate Tinnitus - and now I have a slight loss in my left ear and Diplacusiss (where sound is perceived as two different 'pitches' in each ear) - can I taper off and stop taking the Furosemide - I am very angry if this Loop diuretic is responsible for this hearing problem -

@@ranggas3877 he took it for several years. I had to idea until now… He’s in a very bad state of health, kidney failure. I personally believe this drug plus the BP drug sent him spiraling downward. His hearing loss is permanent. You can take B1, high dose potassium and about 450 mg of magnesium. This will help you get off the drug. His PC told him last week to just stop taking it after we complained on his behalf. You also need to stop all sugars and simple carbs.

My dad was diagnosed with CHF 5 months ago when I had to take him to the ER since he couldn’t breathe. They gave him a lasix intravenously and after two hours of filling the urinal multiple times he was fine and he felt absolutely normal. He has not been prescribed lasix. He just takes amilodipine, metoprolol and lisinopril. Now 5 months later he has developed a swollen foot and a little out of breath. We’ve given him lasix 20mg and potassium 20hcq for a day and while his breathlessness has resolved his foot is still quite swollen. Can we give it him lasix 20mg for a few days for the foot to resolve?
