This made me so happy to see cosplayers and fursuiters interact and be nice to each other. Where I'm from, many cosplayers (not all) don't really like furries. A few years ago, I went to a small con with some cosplay and furry friends, and the furries told me, how some people would make comments like "ew look, there's furries here". One of them even had some cosplayers pour _an entire bottle of water_ down her fursuit! She was devastated.. And as a cosplayer and furry myself, it breaks my heart that we can't just get along. Especially when both communities have so much in common. Many anime fans and cosplayers have had others look down at their interest and bad mouth them for it. They know how it feels, so why do some of them still do the same to furries? I really don't get it.. I hope I'll be able to attend an actual furry convention some time next year.

I think it's because some time ago, a lot of furries caused problems at conventions so they gained a bad rep. I'm somewhat of a furry (really impressed by the craftmanship of the suits, I'm building one myself r/n) myself and still a little cautious around other furries because you don't know who's under the mask and who's wearing their murrsuit to the con, y'know?

And yeah, furries do have a bad rep in general, but Denmark is a small country. When there's furries at a con, it's usually not that many and I've never heard of them causing trouble. You're right, it might be because they judge us beforehand, but that's really.. messed up, when we've never done anything bad.

The german furry community is on the larger side and they usually gather at non-furry cons. Because sadly enough we don't have our own furry cons, so they're a bit more accepted here

I remember last year I was drawing an art piece of my fursona and my friends fursona in the world of Pirates of the Caribbean meeting Captain Jack Sparrow and we were positioned JUST like this. We were on the Island where Jack and Elizabeth got stranded on with the chest of rum and I joked with my friend that Jack and Elizabeth got so drunk, that they saw us and thought they were just seeing things cause of the rum.
