Gosh, I remember watching & taking part in these machinimas back in the days. I used to make tutorials for Source SDK, and spoke with kitty0706 on occasion. Really nice person, he was even starting to take professional animation tutoring for a bit. Also wow, was *not* expecting Moonsong from Cave Story to play at the end!

So not sure if anyone in the chat brought it up but Kitty0706 was a member of the furry community for years all throughout the creations of his animations. It sad that we lost him to leukemia about half a decade ago. I am glad to see people being inspired by his style and keeping the legacy alive.

In regards to your confusion about the Proto being able to just conjure up miniature black holes and freeze people, I happened upon some lore bits like literally a day or two ago, that mentioned some vague magic system indeed being canon. Tried to dig it up again, just to be sure that it is official and for some reason, the only thing I can find right now is a reference in the official Protogen Guide PDF on Cool Koinu's patreon, which mentions "Arcai" as "an ancient dimensional power, that allows energy and magical kinetic abilities", which apparently some rare Protogens were canonically able to develop skills in. So technically, this Proto's magical abilities are feasible, though usually exclusive to rares, it seems, while this one's an uncommon.

I look up to kitty 0706 I follow in his footsteps a lot. There is a lot of Gmod animators that have done what he's done. The best animators out there right now is Doctor Lalve and Delta135Z, That gray cartoon pony, Delak, and burno. All these animators followed in Kitty0706's foot steps Burno making an entire 48 minute long movie which was team neighborhood 4. There just absolutely amazing.

This is one of my favourite sfm animations/machinimas to date. However the best made one (when it comes to the animating ) was an animation/movie (I'm saying this because it's over an hour long) called "emesis blue" by fortress films, but I don't recomend it to anyone who wants a fun atmosphere because the plot is a bit dark, but it had a good story and it was animated well.

7:55 You can, it's just hard to do because the sentry is also shooting you. Try using an ubercharge or commands (or both) as a pyro against a level 3 sentry I can also show you an example sometime.
