Heya Flufferbutts! I've summarized my thoughts in the description for passerby's and those who keep falling asleep while I'm describing my thoughts ~ 💤

I noticed that google removed their "carbon neutral" bit from the homepage since they started using genai. That's one issue a lot of people have with it, the energy cost compared to other digital tools. There's of course the whole issue of scraping, job replacement, etc. too.

27:10 using ai for reference would be incredibly detrimental for a learning artist, especially with regard to anatomy and perspective, ai cannot reliably generate these things without errors that could negatively impact a learning artist that is trying to get a grasp on such concepts; besides, getting a house at a weird angle could be solved with a variety of 3D programs and/or artist tools, or just by simplifying it to shapes like any decently skilled artist would. This is also ignoring the fact that image generation ai is, and always will be trained on stolen images/art; all that to say, using ai art is not only harmful to yourself, but it is also disrespectful to your fellow artists.

Your voice is amazing for rambling Egee, you could talk about literally anything and it'd still be relaxing :3

My oh my, I discovered your channel not too long ago (week or two) and I've honestly fallen in love with your content, and voice 😅 As for the video though, I really enjoyed it, nothing felt out of place, everything was smoothly dictated, I honestly look forward to more of these... "real life themed" rambles.

Do you know, this is a subject I know next to nothing about, but it was really fascinating to hear you speak about it .I do not count programming among my skills, but I have understood most of what you're speaking about. Brilliant ramble, Egee!

I agree with the AI talking points but pouring the rice on the table and book gave me anxiety ngl. I disagree with the blockchain discussion though, adding to the blockchain with smart contracts feels so inefficient with how much power/costs are needed that it makes no sense to use that as a system, there has to be a better way of storing data online.

I really just don't like that nfts and ai use a crap load of energy to keep up and increases pollution tenfold in the process it's neat I guess sure but still not worth keeping up for the energy it needs to run

I'd say that AI is 'Trained' in something, rather than talented. My talent can be drawing a circle, like over years and years of drawing I've gotten pretty decent at it, but my magnum opus is being able to draw a perfect circle with ease - I have a talent for drawing circles. But the AI wouldn't have that, it would have been fed pictures that it then replicated. It wouldn't have a talent, it was trained A human can be trained, but they can also develop a specific talent while they're working on honing their skills. I didn't start practising with the plan of perfecting the circle, but I developed that ability as I was working on something else Human mind is creative. I can look at a dog and a bird and go 'hey, what if I mixed those in my picture and made a hybrid'. An AI will not purposefully make such creations, it will only make what it was fed. Even if you tell it to give you a dog with wings, the AI did not make that, it did not create that thing on its own. It lacks the soul to do that And then there's the environmental damage that AI causes. Makes me very angry and desperate to be honest. We're supposed to try and survive, heal the nature, but instead, people are trying to destroy both nature And creativity
