FAQ
1. Where do/did you buy foam from?
I buy my foam from a local foam supplier called Clarke rubber, but you can order it online, and I think Walmart carries it, but I'm an Australian so I don't know for sure.
2. What fur/foam did you use?
I use Luxuryshag fur and upholstery foam
3. Where can I buy fur?
I get mine from Fabric.com but you can get yours from Mendels, or distinctive fabrics, fursuitsupplies etc etc, you'll be fine as long as its luxuryshag, fox, or seal.
4. How do you see?
You see through the buckram fabric in the eyes.
5. How long did this take?
It took me approximatley 5 days of working 9-5. (Of course taking into account eating etc.)
6. Do you do commissions?

Materials for a head/partial usually cost me around 200 USD give or take

Buckram
13. Whats a list of materials?
Kinda a lazy question in my opinion, as I'm fairly sure they're all mentioned in the video but here ya go:
- 1 inch foam (a square meter or two)
- Luxury shagfur (as much as required
- Hot glue (50 sticks for a head)
- Hot gluegun
- Thread
- Hansewing needles
- Lycra fabric/balaclava
- Fun foam
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- scissors
- pens

14. Make me soot 4 free?
No.
15. How thick is the foam?
I use 1-2 inch thickness, you can always thin it down so as long as its not 3-5 inches or something rediculous, you'll be fine.
16. How do you find specific fur colours?
I find crying works, sometimes a deal with the devil. Or just several hours of googling.

I’ve been looking into making a fursuit for just over a year now since I’m only a minor and most shops are either too expensive/don’t sell to minors. ( I am currently 13 years old and I made my first suit when I was 11) Your first tutorial is what made me be able to make my first fursuit Crystal the coyote. (Wow thats already almost 2 years ago!) It was ok for a first suit but i wanted to keep trying so I made Diamond, which is the suit I use on my channel now. I use a different method of the muzzle, more like what kloofsuits uses and it turned out even better than the first one. I am currently working on an eagle head for a school project and I uploaded a video of Diamond 2.0s head base and it looks even better than the last. I just wanted to say thank you because if it wasn’t for that first tutorial, I wouldn’t be the fursuit maker I am today. ❤️💎🐺

You can buy pre-made bases all around, most come with the downside of 'Same Face Syndrome' which means all the heads have the same shape rather than having a unique shape. Most of these are cast through the use of Expanding foam, however are usually really well smoothed in quality.

Just do a search for 'Premade Fursuit Head Bases' and just do a bit of research on the site you find it on. Quite often they will sell it on their own personal websites, fur affinity, furry marketplaces or etsy

I highly recommend this tutorial for new furs and more experienced furs, I followed this and got an amazing result. Although I recommend you get ALOT of foam, I used an entire giant role. I also recommend you have pins 📌 to pin down the foam while it dries. Good tutorial

My family is very supportive of me being a furry and the furry community itself. All she thinks furries are is big cute fluffy animals! Didn’t think this was a big deal but I noticed a lot of people’s families aren’t being very supportive of them. And I’m sorry if you are one of them, keep doing what you love guys! I’m in the middle of making my fursuit and I’m pretty proud of it so far! My mom helped me a lot! She bought all my needed materials, and is willing to buy even more if I need it. It was pretty expensive not gonna lie (300+ dollars), so I will make her proud! She even said she would take me to a convention when covid is over! She also let me commission someone for paws surprisingly. All of this was very expensive and I want to make it up to her! 💖💖💖💖

Oh yeah I have a few more questions. 1: is all of the things like electric knife,razor for the fur and sewing machines necessary for a beginner? Is it very expensive if you want to get those things? 2: is there any specific materials you would recommend for beginners. 3: if you have to shave down the fur is an electric razor the best way or is there another way. 4:is there any other tips you would give to a beginner who can barely even sew?

Lunar Quest I am a novice maker so I might be able to help with that... 1. Anything like sewing machines or electric knives are not necessary but can speed up the process. 2. Faux fur is easy to find on places like fabric.com

3. Electric razors are the best way to go when shaving fur, it gives a clean cut result.
