I didn't know he was deaf until I heard the giggling/grunting, and saw how detailed his hand signing was then I realized. Your fursona should be the mascot for a children’s deaf awareness organization. Also, I believe that being deaf adds an extra layer of realism to your character. Animals naturally lack the ability to phonate and understand language so I would believe that if they had the same knowledge as a human they would work around not being able to speak and comprehend language by using sign language or hand signs to communicate,
