I can do this! Nothing to be paranoid about to be honest. I'm friends with several gray muzzles. I don't tell this to a lot of people but I'm "close" to being one myself. As for why it's considered a gray muzzle, I don't have an easy answer other than statistically speaking, most furs fall below that age and it's used more as a respectful identifier rather than an insult. It's NEVER too late to join the fandom OR fursuit. I met a fur at Megaplex that was in his 60's, rocking a fursona badge and he told us some hilarious stories from previous cons he attended in the past.
