Yeah it's always cute to see when it works out! I have a childhood friend and we both had crushes on each other as kids but at different times, so it never really worked out. Now we're grown and he has a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend. We're not together romantically but we're still best friends and I can't imagine my life without him. Sometimes our friend group talks about how all our kids are going to be friends 😊
This short film told a more good romance and slice of life story than 90% other romance anime in just 5 minutes. It somehow made me emotional in such a short time. Almost shed a tear.hope this gets a full movie/series adaptation. I would watch the whole thing. The story is too simple yet too beautiful😊

The voice actors did great in portraying the characters. I felt the coldness at the same time the warth of the guy's voice 😭 that he gives off to the girl. Such a simplistic depiction of friendship but goes beyond the main character's silent response. They cling without them knowing they became dependent with each other.
@lunais1433 Жыл бұрын
Well, Uchiyama Koki and Ishikawa Yui are both pretty famous award-winning voice actors.
This hit a little too close to home. Growing up I had a best friend. She used to live next door. We have known each other since birth. She basically was my first friend. We had so much fun together. Of course, we'd fight and argue sometimes too, but it was always that childish quarrel that we forgot about the very next day. We always got along really well, but that was up until we got to the start of middle school. Things slowly started to fizzle out. We talked less. We'd hang out with each other less and less. But then, one day, I heard the news. They were moving, far away. At the time, I did feel this impending urge to cherish whatever little time we had left. But, even after making that horrifying discovery, I didn't talk to her all that much. It wasn't long before they were gone. If memory serves me right, I barely even wished her a farewell. It was a simple bye... That's it. I parted with my most important friend with just a simple goodbye. Back then I was sad, but now I'm devastated. We take for granted and fail to appreciate the things that matter to us the most. I wish one day I could talk to her again. Were kids back then and weren't allowed to use social media, so I don't know her socials. Though our parents still keep in touch with each other, I don't have the courage to ask them about her. Losing a friend like that is one of my biggest regrets in life. It's been almost 7 years now. I often recall the fun memories we made. This video reminded me of her. I'm still waiting for the day I'll get back with this lost friend.

This really made me tear up a bit, the boy who knew he was moving out wanted to distance himself from his childhood friend to save themselves both from the pain, then she didn’t get too bothered because she kind of knew something was happening. After he told her that he was moving out while saying something to disregard it she still didn’t get bothered and didn’t want to pursue the matter which validated his intention. While time passed in middle school they still had each other contact, and the boy feeling frustrated from the situation, knew that he didn’t do good by distancing himself from his friend, but wanted to call her badly, many times, but her friend also felt that she wasn’t being supporting him enough knowing the one who had to move out was him, and she also missed him dearly, so she just put aside all that pride to call him, in this case I want to say that she saved him from a full phase of depression of the boy, and also saved the relationship which never should have ended in the first place. She’s the heroine of the story. I also want to point out, that the boy may have sounded rude when kind of answering the phone, but for some reason in anime this is how mc, lone, cool(based on the authors or trendy anime style) characters sound like, she could have perfectly hanged the phone at that point, but it’s an anime, don’t do that in real life lol, try to answer the phone respectfully at least for the sake of courtesy. Besides that, the boy did follow through and engaged in the conversation with her, which lead to the fated date of the exam while having recovered, built, and made stronger the bond they had from childhood, and maybe even more… I know this is short and many things I’ve said are just interpretations of the scenes, but I really love to convey what the people behind all these great creations wanted to tell, and also love romance stories without the intention of making them complex and hard for the characters for the sake of making it interesting.

@@malaya1950 I guess what @yoiyoi5411 said, and also, that bonds are what gives you strength in the end to overcome adverse situations, you may be able and capable to overcome them by yourself, but there's always a limit, relationships and bonds will make your resolve stronger. I just remembered a feature from introverts, that they like to be by themselves, but they will always choose a bond or relationship that's worth spending time, resources and efforts on, than being by themselves. I don't know if it were true, but I think Japanese society doesn't put enough effort on social reliability, it's like depending on someone or even relying on someone makes you look uncapable or weak, which being a loner biggest characteristic is that being by themselves are always weaker than being in a reliable group, in the literal sense, talking on general terms.
