First Teddy mispronounces his name, then Ken thinks it's Mugabe because Robert Mugabe was an African dictator, forgetting he was the Zimbabwe leader, not the Zaire leader. Then Teddy thinks it cannot be that, not because he correctly recognised Mugabe is from Zimbabwe, but because there was a boxer named John Mugabe (which I guess means no one else can have that name?), then Ken looks up Robert Mugabe and thinks he got the right guy, and he also said he led from 1924, when that was his birthdate, not when he became president, and appeared to say until 1909??? I couldn't tell exactly because Teddy was cutting him off. Then to top it off, Teddy says "Thanks for fact-checking, I don't want people telling me you're wrong again." This is a level of incorrect I didn't know was possible.

While I appreciate Teddy's insights and willingness to give Fury every possible benefit of the doubt, I think he missed out on something pretty big. Fans aren't cynical about Fury pulling out because they are Boxing fans who just think that they can't have nice things (like the Jets fans he mentions). The fact is that Fury, unlike Ali or Foreman back in the day, has neglected to defend that little green belt of his and has done everything possible to sabotage a bout with Usyk. We've watched him try to worm out of this while barking about being the GOAT and a proper fighting man. While he's probably not "afraid" of Usyk per se, he knows that the Ukrainian is levels above anyone he's ever fought. He knows that Usyk is awkward and that he's unlikely to look good even if he were to somehow pull out a victory. He has not been a good champion, let alone a great one and he has a track record of ducking the toughest fights. Boxing fans have seen this and this is why many are so skeptical.

Fury isn’t scared of Usyk. Fury is scared of LOSING a fight. It’s very well known that he wants to retire ‘undefeated’ (even though he robbed John macdermott) and Fury wants to BRAG for the next 30 years that nobody ever beat him. Now he finds himself near the end of his career, and he’s had a parallel career with Anthony Joshua but he’s successfully dodged a Joshua fight, but USYK has become a unified champion and now USYK who has always given fury the fear of a defeat, MUST BE FOUGHT before Fury can retire. And not only does he have to be fought, he has to be BEATEN haha and Fury is terrified of losing his unbeaten record this late in his carefully managed SAFE career. Apart from Klitschko (who Fury refused to rematch) and Wilder, who else has he beaten? NO NAME fighters. He’s only beaten 2 world champions. Muhammad Ali beat 16. Lennox Lewis beat 14.

Teddy and Ken are very knowledgeable but they aren’t as familiar with fury as the Brit’s are. If they actually knew how many times he’s dodged a fight or manipulated the situation regarding a fight they probably wouldn’t be as lax on fury. Regarding that fury isn’t scared to fight usyk, no one thinks fury is afraid to face usyk or that he will be shaking in the corner when usyk looks at him. But he is worried about losing to usyk. Joshua has marketable skills even if he loses, fury will lose much more if he loses and will have trouble getting back. This is fury’s last years and he’s doing everything he can to squeeze money out of it. I don’t blame him, but look at the facts and the amount of times fury’s been insanely hard to negotiate with, the amount of times he’s skipped fight and the times he’s been caught doping. I’ve repeatedly commented: Fury is scared of Usyk. Usyk has main belts and is more, “real deal” but he’s understated compared to the outspoken Fury. On paper it’s Usyk who’s more legit. Fury lies more often than he tells the truth. Why should I believe that this is legit? He might've done that on purpose to get out of the fight, video footage also looks sus. As far as I'm concerned, he has negative credibility. I know he can fight but as a person, he's cancer for boxing.
