@Paddy le Blanc I’m a huge fan of historic boxing. Guys like Marciano and Walcott are absolutely legendary and never get talked about. But I just say, this fight was off the charts legendary. Unbelievable, 2 HUGE men, Deontae wilders knockout power is legendary, his ko record speaks for itself, he came in at 240 and put Tyson fury down twice, and drew it all the way to the 11th round. It literally was like some kind of rocky movie. Tyson fury is one of the greatest fighters of all time. I honestly can’t see Muhammad ali or other heavy weights beating him, too big too fast too good. Maybe prime mike Tyson but even he might get jabbed too death and man handled. Mike was 220 Tyson freaking comes in at 277.

On that level it worked for both fighters and the public equally. Deontay earned my admiration and respect after the third fight. I can’t imagine any other heavyweight in the top 10 staying showing that kind of grit and determination. AJ has quit in the only two fights where there was considerable resistance and that shouldn’t be overlooked by the true fans of this sport.

If people saw this trilogy in a Creed movie they’d say they’re going over the top. Aman comes back from depression to fight the undefeated unstoppable hardest hitting man in boxing, gets knocked down early looks like it’s over gets back up and seems to convincingly win the majority of the following rounds. In the 12th and final round he gets hit with a picture perfect right hand from the hardest hitter in the sport he looks dead nobody thinks he can get up but somehow like the Undertaker he sits up and continues fighting. A fairly controversial draw but there’s been worse. A second fight is made it’s considered a 50/50 fight with Fury as a slight favourite, but it is one of the most one sided fights the sport has ever seen as he just moves forward and clubs him like a punch bag. Knocks him down several times before his team stops the fight. Just as the biggest fight in British boxing history seems to be made (AJ vs Fury) Wilder comes outta nowhere and reveals he still has a rematch clause. The third fight is made and nobody really cares as Fury seemed to win the first 2 fights convincingly. The first 2 rounds pass with little to no action before Fury knocks him down in the 3rd, Wilder then gets saved by the bell. The 4th round and Fury comes out aggressive just to get hit with another big punch and get knocked down, Fury gets back up only too get chinned once again. After the two knockdowns Fury’s boxing skills were awoken and he decided to box and move winning rounds 5-9 with his jab. Until finally finishing the fight in the 10th round. IMO the greatest boxing trilogy of all time the only trilogies that rival it is Riddick Bowe vs Holyfield and Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales (Ali vs Frazier 2 was boring and Gatti vs Ward was too one sided). Fury is either incredibly overrated or incredibly underrated depending on who you ask. IMO he’s top 10 of all time but barely makes top 10. With a win over Usyk he can get to around top 7, he jabbed and grabbed the jab and grab king Klitschko to end one of the longest title reigns in boxing history and he went to war and took all the punches from one of the hardest hitters of all time Wilder. He also has some decent wins over Whyte, Chisora, and Wallin. Fury can’t retire yet.

@ben esterberg It would have been worse and thats why Breland prevented it by throwing in the towel to stop it. Of course wilder is not thankful to Breland for saving him in the second fight. Think about it, you are basically out on you feet, slumped back in the corner against the ropes, unable to defend yourself and exhausted; and a big nearly 300 pound professional fighter is about to move in on you and hit you with everything he has. What would you want your corner-man to do at that moment??
