You can disconnect the battery, then use a jumper wire to the pos and neg cable, then turn the head lights on, this will drain the system of all power. Let it sit for about 30 mins. Re connect the cables to the battery, start it up and let it idle for about 10 mins then go for a drive. This will reset everything and you will notice difference in throttle response to idle speed and even how it shifts... Before the dumb comments obviously the headlights wont turn on but it will help drain the system faster.

Dude just did this on my Pursuit. Was definitely a little sluggish even with new spark plugs. But man it gets up and goes now. Crazy something this small does that

Would this fix my dodge Challenger's ecu. I'm having trouble smogging my car because the tune is not set to stock. Would doing this fix it or should I take it to a tuning shop. I drive my srt8 daily.

Do these cars get quieter when they adapt to "granny driving". Ive been using cruise control at 55mph in sport mode quite a bit and one day when leaving work the car was quieter and seemed less touchy. This is in a 2023 scatpack

Disconnecting the postive batt resets all systems. Tcm bcm ecu pcm..pulling a fuse will only reset comp for a short time..the computer does have a memory

Hey great vid and information. I hope you are still checking you comments...or for anyone who knows...will this same trick work for a 2018 R/T with the 5.7L hemi? Is there a different fuse for the PCM on my 18 model or is it still fuse 31? My girl feels sluggish too lately, so I wonder if this reset would bring it back to life on the 5.7L as well? I also have a 18 R/T 5.7 and do it every few months. It works great and just did it again today after emptying my oil catch can. Fuse 31 is the one.

Haa, I went to start my car (2013 Charger R/T+) today & got the same message. I don't have a clutch either. Windshield wipers stuttered like they were possessed & brake pedal became stiff as a brick, then everything shut off except a weird ticking sound under my hood. It was coming from fuse box and specifically the wiper relay was ticking hard enough you could feel it. It turned out that my battery was all but dead. After jump start it fired up like a champ, oddly my check engine light is now on (not blinking, steady light) & my seat & steering wheel reset to factory position... which is funny because I've never been able to get the steering wheel adjuster to function🤷 nor has my seat ever been able to raise as high as it now suddenly does. And this is why she fits her name perfectly "Christine". She does what she wants when she wants, I'm just along for the ride.

Hi, need some positive vibes. I bought a used 2017 dodge challenger sxt plus. 35,000 miles. Car ran perfect from September to recently. One day I go to start it won't turn over. Then turns over. Leaving work it's completely dead. After several prayers and attempts, the car starts and I get her to my mechanic. Mechanic has had car for 3 weeks now, says I have a voltage draw that's killing the battery. So something failed, a bad fuse, wire, module. I'm so sick over this. Anyone else have something similar? Apparently, all dodge cars have lots of issues. Challengers can have lots of issues with them. Send thoughts and prayers cause I'm sick without my girl

Mine was the negative cable, it wasn't tight. Mechanic took a wire brush, cleaned both ends, hooked it back together and never had that problem again. Until my fuel pump went bad then it wouldn't start. Got a new pump and back on the road again

No it dose not have to be at room temp. just make sure it off. And you can do it anytime.
